What began as a single impulsive moment slowly became something much harder to define. Not an official romance, but a quiet routine. They learned each other's habits, finished each other's sentences, knew how the other liked their coffee, and noticed the smallest details without even realizing it. Neither of them called it love. Perhaps because pretending it wasn't was simply easier.
Then Marcela came home.
