This park was nade in 5 days, which isn't so bad compared to the usual 2 weeks, although this was actually my third attempt. My first plan was to use the big dino from the other Oasis Springs neighborhood, but it wasn't really speaking to me. The second one was to mimic a meteor crater with a size up meteorite from debug inside a big hole, however uneven terrain is a nightmare to deal with and the theme would be similar to my upcoming museum for that world. Then I put a gazebo in the middle because it's a common feature in parks, but it had to be bigger in order to accomodate the second floor, which was needed to improve the gallery photo; and, to occupy more of the lot, I made two smaller ones.
The upstairs was going to be fenced, just like downstairs, but due to the round roof, stairs would only work if its the room was fully enclosed, so I used the glass walls as a middle ground. Later on, I switched the roof of the other gazebos for glass to look better during the day, which matched perfectly with the larger building. The wavy pieces are there to cover the gaps of the roof caused by the round room, and I used tool mod to get their size just right.
With the three structures in place, I added flowy pathways connecting them, which inspired the final name of the build! I also thought about calling it "Circle of Life Park" or "Rounded Edges Park", but the former seemed too pretentious, while the latter reminded me more of an amusement park. I actually love the original name of the lot, which refers to the blossoming of a bunch of flowers in the – you guessed it – the desert.
Even though I had spread out the activities, I run out of different ones to place in the pond section (which was the last one), and while I could've added a kitchen or a room with computers and gaming mats, I didn't want to break the symmetry of the three gazebos. Fortunately, Oasis Springs rocks were there to help, and it also became the perfect location for a closer teleport to Forgotten Grotto (not to be confused with Forgotten Hollow, which is the vampire world). Something to note is most of those rocks lack collision, requiring me to put the ones who have inside them.
By the way, the tents, string lights and selling table were from Sims Sessions Debug, which was a music festival from 2021 that added a few pack objects to base game. They're not in debug, but you can find them in the gallery.
