Velvet CAS Lighting

Velvet is a CAS lighting mod that gets rid of the blue and yellow tint EA's lighting puts on everything, without going flat.

I made this because I was tired of not being able to tell what color my CC actually was in CAS. Whites looked yellow, skin looked orange, and blacks lost all their detail. Velvet uses plain white light, so what you see is much closer to the real colors of your skin, hair and clothes.

What it does

• Removes the blue and yellow cast from CAS lighting
• Keeps soft shadows so faces and clothing still have shape
• Brightens eyes and softens features
• Less shine on skin and hair
• Whites stay white and blacks keep their detail
• Works on any CAS background, but looks its best on darker ones

Pet friendly

Works for cats, dogs and horses too, not just Sims.

Pairs with Velvet Foundation

It goes really nicely with my Velvet Foundation skin overlay, but you don't need it. Velvet Lighting works with any skin.

Good to know

This replaces the CAS lighting, so only use one CAS lighting mod at a time. Remove any others from your Mods folder.

No packs required.

This only changes CAS. It won't affect lighting in live mode or build mode.
