In The Sims 3, you can't just randomly ask a Sim to "Move In" or "WooHoo", you must first progress through a series of conversational stages to unlock those interactions. This mod brings that depth to The Sims 4. Now, you'll need to actually glance at the conversation tab at the top of the screen in order to track which stage of the conversation you're in, and which Friendly and Romantic socials you can perform!
Note: Like TS3, it only takes a few positive interactions to progress through all the stages of a conversation. This mod isn't about making socializing more difficult. It's just about making it feel more natural like in TS3.
Friendly Social Progression
🤝🏻 Casual (default) > Pleasant > ✨Engaging (created for the Mod)
OR
😆 Casual (default) > Funny > Hilarious
Pleasant/Funny unlocks interactions such as:
- Physical Interactions: Hugs, high fives, bro/hip bumps, and platonic kisses.
- Photo & Selfie Moments: Taking photos together, selfies, and sharing baby or invention pictures.
- Conversational & Emotional Exchanges: Bantering, storytelling, consoling, and whispering about crushes.
- Professional & Investigative Queries: Discussing salaries, debating theories, and asking about military or lab operations.
- Social Media & Lifestyle Sharing: Exchanging lifestyle tips, favorite recipes, and entertainment interests.
- Mentorship & Life Advice: Offering or seeking mentorship, life lessons, and relationship guidance.
- Themed & Role-Playing Interactions: Vampire and werewolf-related social activities, country dancing, and themed gatherings.
- Civic & Event Engagements: Inquiries about civic policies, heritage, marriage advice, and club invitations.
- Miscellaneous: Requests like small loans, story pitches, and various social invites.
Engaging/Hilarious unlocks the above as well as:
- Deep & Personal Conversations: Sharing secrets, engaging in deep and personal discussions, and expressing vulnerabilities.
- Affection & Intimacy: Offering hugs, expressing love, and sharing intimate family gestures like a family kiss or asking for a marriage blessing.
- Friendship & Partnership: Becoming partners in crime, asking to be best friends or just friends, and offering friendly massages.
- Supernatural Themes: Sharing vampire secrets and initiating vampire transformation.
- Career & Activism: Requesting DNA for career purposes, asking for bribes, collecting donations, and recruiting for military roles.
- Household & Living Arrangements: Inviting someone to join a household, asking to move in, or become a roommate/confidant.
- Relationship Dynamics: Discussing relationship expectations, including physical, emotional, and romantic exclusivity, and reminiscing about weddings.
- Other Social Requests: Asking for large loans, club leadership actions.
Romantic Social Progression
💕 Casual (default) > Suggestive > Amorous > Steamy
Note: Casual and Suggestive are basicaly the same stage, so unlocks don't begin until Amorous. Romantic social progression also unlocks Friendly interactions.
Amorous unlocks interactions such as:
- Romantic Gestures: Serenades, blowing kisses, offering roses, and sweet talking.
- Physical Intimacy: First kisses, embraces, cheek/neck/hand kisses, dip kisses.
- Emotional Declarations: Confessing attraction, declaring and professing love, and emotionally connecting.
- Date & Relationship Invitations: Asking to stay the night, initiating date events, exchanging numbers, and rebuilding trust.
- Flirty Extras: Dedicating songs, seductive whispers, costume-related fun, mistletoe and mermaid kisses, and recapping intimate moments.
Steamy unlocks the above as well as:
- Relationship Shifts & Proposals: Convincing a partner to leave a spouse, proposing, and requests to be boyfriend/girlfriend.
- Intense Romance: Frenzied, passionate, suave, steamy kiss variations, making out, 💜WooHoo💜, and Try for Baby.
- Commitment & Bonding Rituals: Exchanging promise rings, declaring eternal love, and expressing devoted loyalty.
More Details & Exceptions
- When a new Social Context is reached between two Sims, the interactions that are unlocked stay unlocked for up to 4 Sim hours (unless the Social Context turns negative).
- NPC Sims can still perform the above interactions whenever they choose, regardless of what stage of a conversation they are in.
- For those who play with custom interactions, any interactions tagged as "Interaction_Woohoo" will be folded into the Steamy unlocks. Any interactions tagged as "Interaction_PhysicalRomance_NotWoohoo" will be folded into the Amorous unlocks.
- Perk for WooHoo Partners: Sims that are "WooHoo Partners" can WooHoo with one another at any time, regardless of which stage of a conversation they're in.
- Perk for Best Friends: Sims that are "Best Friends" will unlock all Friendly interactions at the Pleasant conversation stage (unless they have a negative sentiment between them). They do not need to progress to the Engaging conversation stage.
- Perk for Partners: Sims that are partnered will unlock all Romance interactions at the Amorous stage (unless they have a negative sentiment between them or a "Strained" romantic dynamic). They do not need to progress to the Steamy conversation stage.
Compatibility
