📅 Changelog
[V1.01 Update (July 4, 2026)]
Fixed a bug where the ShujinTongluo Pill could still be selected even when a Sim didn't have Cervical Spondylosis, causing the option to do nothing when clicked. It's now correctly greyed out and only usable once the Sim is actually diagnosed with the condition.
☯️ Core Gameplay V1.0
Once installed, Sims will fall ill as their weather conditions, emotional states, or lifestyle habits attract "malicious Qi" (邪气). To fully recover, they must undergo proper diagnosis and TCM treatment. When symptoms appear, Sims need to use their phone to visit a TCM Clinic (Rabbit Hole) for a check-up, purchase the corresponding Chinese herbal medicine based on the diagnostic report, and follow the treatment course to take their medication.

🌡️ Illness System
Illnesses are categorized into three main types, each with unique causes, durations, and treatment requirements:
- Exogenous Illnesses (Can self-cure 🍂): Caused by seasonal elements like Wind, Cold, Dampness, Dryness, Fire, and Summer Heat, such as Wind-Cold, Wind-Heat, and Damp Diarrhea.
- Endogenous/Internal Illnesses (Cannot self-cure 💔): Chronic conditions such as Hypertension and Asthma. These last indefinitely and require continuous medication management.
- Injuries (Slow self-cure 🩹): Physical ailments like Cervical Spondylosis (Neck Strain), which Writers and Esports Gamers are highly prone to. Treatment is recommended to speed up recovery.
📱 Clinical & Treatment Flow
When a Sim feels unwell (e.g., experiencing tense, uncomfortable, or low-appetite Buffs):
-
Visit the Clinic: Use the Phone ➔ TCM Clinic ➔ Go to TCM Clinic.
-
Get the Diagnosis: Your Sim will receive a diagnostic report detailing their specific illness, current stage, and recommended medicine.
-
Buy Medicine: Use the Phone ➔ TCM Clinic ➔ Purchase Chinese Herbs. Once bought, the medicine will appear in the Sim's Personal Inventory.
-
Take Medicine: Click on the medicine in the inventory ➔ Select [Take Medicine]. Follow the recommended course of treatment until the illness is completely cured.

📜 FAQ
Q: My Sim is sick, but I don't know what they have. What should I do?
A: Head to the TCM Clinic for a diagnosis first. Before the check-up, your Sim will only show vague symptom Buffs. The specific illness name and treatment plan will only be revealed after a proper diagnosis.
Q: Why is the "Take Medicine" option greyed out / unclickable?
A: This usually happens for two reasons: ① The interaction is currently on cooldown. ② Your Sim does not currently have the specific illness that the medicine treats.
Q: Can Sims recover from illnesses without treatment?
A: Exogenous illnesses and Injuries can self-cure over time, though it takes much longer. Endogenous (internal) illnesses will never self-cure and require constant medication.
