About This Mod
Not every Sim loves meeting new people, going to parties, or being the center of attention. Some just want to stay home, read a book, paint, or spend time with their pets. And that's perfectly fine!
Social Anxiety adds 27 new moodlets that make your Sim's emotions feel more personal, unpredictable, and alive.
The trait is available for Teens, Young Adults, Adults, and Elders.
What Can You Expect?
Bars, nightclubs, and lounges are where this trait really comes to life!
Throw a birthday party or start an event, and your Sim might feel like they're heading for an Oscar nomination... while also panicking because everyone is watching them!
Eating, drinking, using objects in public, or meeting strangers can become surprisingly stressful. Your Sim might worry about eye contact, overthink conversations, or wish they could disappear.
But it's not all anxiety!
Spending time with pets can make your Sim feel safe. Reading, painting, and enjoying creative hobbies can bring happiness. And surprisingly, performing in public might even give them a boost of confidence!
Don't Push Them Too Far!
Want to turn your shy Sim into a party girl or a social butterfly? Well... be careful!
If your Sim socializes too much within four Sim hours, they may experience a social shutdown and temporarily refuse further social interactions.
Once they've recovered, you can try socializing again. But if you keep pushing, they'll give you a second warning and may decide to go home.
You can cancel that action and keep testing their limits, of course... but ignoring their warnings and continuing to push them into stressful situations can eventually lead to death by anger!
Don't worry, one awkward conversation won't kill your Sim. It takes repeated social pressure and ignored warnings for things to get that serious.
Sometimes, the best thing you can do is just let them go home.
Languages & Compatibility
Languages: English and Turkish. A community-made Spanish translation is also available, thanks to BR0DA_TS4! You can find it through the link at the top of this post.
Please install only one main language version (English or Turkish). For the Spanish translation, follow the translator's installation instructions.
The mod is compatible with the base game, but certain moodlets require specific expansion packs to trigger. For example, pet-related reactions require Cats & Dogs.
