This mod adds a cookbook object that displays cooking menu where in-game recipes are categorized by pack.
You can find the object in the Hobbies and Skills category or the Kitchen Appliances category.
This mod is available for BG only. Menus will be added according to the packs you own.
It supports both the Cooking Skill and Gourmet Cooking Skill, and there are optional files for grilling and snacks (Quick meal).
-Added Adventure Awaits pack recipes / December 09, 2025
Notes
- Make sure to put the main file in the Mods folder.
- This mod’s picker menu is a standalone custom menu, so it does not overwrite or modify any in-game menus or recipes.
- Menus are displayed even if the level or unlock requirements are not met, so some Sims may see a blank menu. However, this is not an issue, as the menu can be closed normally.
Features
- The cooking menu can also be accessed from the recipe book in a Sim’s inventory,
- For applicable recipes, a single-serving option has been added to recipes that previously only had an 8-serving option. As a result, the thumbnail may look different from the in-game menu. It is also possible to cook a single serving on the grill.
- Off-the-grid recipes can be used even on non-off-the-grid lots.
- Quick meals can also be used on Simple Living lots.
- The quick meal menu combines refrigerator and microwave recipes into the same menu. If a microwave is not available, microwave snacks will not be displayed.
- Quick meals from the mini fridge and spa fridge are available even if only a regular fridge is placed. Please note that, because of this, only the canned versions of water and juice will be displayed.
- If testing cheats are enabled, shift-clicking the cookbook will bring up a cheat menu to unlock locked recipes. Some are categorized separately into drinks and food. Please note that these unlocks are permanent.
- The Off-Grid Cooking Menu allows you to cook even on stoves that are not Off-Grid compatible.
Fmily Recipe Option
- The Family Recipe menu consists entirely of custom interactions. The recipes are from the in-game, and in my tests, I was able to cook without any issues even after removing the mod files.
- Recipes that always require ingredients do not seem to work with the Family Recipe, so they have been excluded from the Family Recipe list.
- There may be recipes that I missed which are not included in the in-game Family Recipe list. In such cases, the cooking interaction from the in-game menu should simply be canceled without start cooking.
