Sometimes it takes way too long for sims to learn things... Sometimes it's way too fast! MCCC allows you to edit how fast sims learn skills, but it only allows you to either make a list of skills either faster or slower. Lumpinou's Talents and Weaknesses mod lets you make a sim learn things faster or slower, but it's not a global setting and it has no effect on skills that come with new DLCs or Mods.
If you haven't clicked out after reading what those other mods do, this is the solution for you! With the Skill Gain Customizer you can decide the learning speed of each and every skill! The configuration you choose will be applied to all sims across all saves.
Requirements
- Base game.
- Script mods enabled.
How to Use it
The mod adds 2 new interactions to the mailbox:
- [SY] Change Skill Gain → Shows all skills your game currently has. Just click on the one you want to customize. This will take you to a new window with several speed presets for you to choose from.
- [SY] Edit Current Skill Setting → Lists all skills you have previously customized. Click on the one you want to edit and pick a new speed.
What if my sim is not home or the interactions are not showing up when I click on the mailbox? You can input the following commands on the cheat console to summon the skill editing windows:
- skillgain.change → Same as clicking the Change Skill Gain interaction.
- skillgain.editmodified → Same as clicking the Edit Current Skill Setting interaction.
Installation
- Just drop the [SpcyYogrt]SkillGainCustomizer.package and the [SpcyYogrt]SkillGainCustomizer.ts4script into your mods folder.
- Remember that the .ts4script file CANNOT stay deeper than one layer into your mods folder. "The Sims 4\Mods\SkillGain" is fine, "The Sims 4\Mods\sillymods_heehee\SkillGain" is not fine.
