Discover the connection between the most popular traits in sims 4 where the sims are attracted as friends or lovers, really enjoy being around each other and sharing their passions for their hobbies or lifestyles.
The 14 Traits correspond to the 14 main CAS traits of, noncommittal, creative, active, gloomy, geek, hates children, jealous, ambitious, materialistic, loner, music lover, good, romantic and cheerful.
Upon adding any of the 14 traits to your sim, they will also gain the main CAS trait, so you should have room for one extra CAS trait to be added to your sim, unless they already have it. Or, if your sim is a Teen, you may add the trait and one extra trait will be added upon your sim's aging up to a Young Adult.
And keep in mind that even if you use the traits as supplementary, the trait will be added as a CAS.
The 14 Traits
Aloof
Or the noncommittal sim. An aloof sim is like a majestic unicorn. They're always just out of reach, you're never quite sure if they actually exist, and when you try to get close to them, they disappear into thin air!
Artistic
Or the creative sim. A creative sim is like a magician with a paintbrush, a pencil, or a camera, able to conjure up amazing images out of thin air. They're the kind of sim who sees the world through a different lens, and who can find beauty in the most unexpected places. Just don't be surprised if they start wearing berets and quoting Picasso. Art is life, after all!
Athletic
Or the active sim. An athletic sim is like a superhero in training - they're strong, fast, and ready to save the world! They're the kind of sim who loves to run, jump, and play, and who's always up for a game of pick-up basketball or a run around the park. They might even have a secret stash of protein bars and energy drinks hidden in their locker, just in case they need a quick boost.
Blue
Or the gloomy sim. A gloomy sim is like a rain cloud that follows you around - no matter how hard you try to shake them off, they just keep raining on your parade! They're the kind of sim who could win the lottery and still find a reason to mope about it. So if you're feeling blue, you might want to steer clear of a blue sim - unless you have an umbrella handy!
Brainy
Or the geek sim. A brainy sim is like a computer - they're smart, fast, and always ready to compute! They're the kind of sim who gets excited about comic books, and video games, and who can't wait to share their latest discoveries with anyone who will listen.
Childless
Or the hates children sim. A childless sim is like a grizzly bear waking up from a nap - they're not quite ready to face the world, and they might be a little bit cranky about it! They're like a rain cloud on a sunny day, casting a shadow over children. But don't worry, they're not really that scary - they just need a little bit of time to warm up and get into a better mood.
Clingy
Or the jealous sim. A clingy sim is like a burr that sticks to your clothes - no matter how hard you try to shake them off, they just won't let go! They're like a puppy that follows you around everywhere you go, and even though you love them, sometimes you just wish you could have a little bit of space to yourself. But don't worry, they mean well - they just want to be close to you all the time!
Competitive
Or the ambitious sim. A competitive sim is like a cheetah on the hunt - they're always looking for the next prey to chase down and conquer! They're always aiming for the stars and pushing themselves to new heights! And like a marathon runner, they're never satisfied with just crossing the finish line.
Consumerist
Or the materialistic sim. A consumerist sim is like a magpie. They're always on the lookout for something shiny and new to add to their collection, and they'll do just about anything to get their claws on it! Whether it's designer clothes, fancy cars, or the latest gadgets, they're never satisfied with what they have and are always looking for the next big thing to feather their nest with.
Hermit
Or the loner sim is quiet, mysterious, and you never quite know what they're up to! They like to curl up in a cozy corner and watch the world go by, content to be on their own. They're not the life of the party, but they're the kind of sim you want on your side when things get rough - they'll have your back without you even realizing it!
Music Nerd
Or the music lover sim. A music nerd sim is like a walking encyclopedia of tunes - they know every chord progression, every drum fill, and every guitar riff ever played! They're like a jukebox on steroids, constantly humming or singing a melody, and never missing a beat. So if you need a musical recommendation or just want to hear a great story about a legendary rock band, just look for the music nerd.
Peacemaker
Or the good sim. A peacemaker sim is like a referee at a kindergarten soccer game - they're always trying to keep the peace and make sure everyone plays nice! They're like a walking, talking version of the United Nations, able to mediate disputes and broker peace deals between even the most stubborn opponents. They hate conflict and will do anything to avoid an argument, even if it means sacrificing their own needs.
Sentimental
Or the romantic sim. A sentimental sim is like a character straight out of a cheesy romance novel - they're always dreaming of candlelit dinners, long walks on the beach, and passionate kisses in the rain. They're ready to sweep their partner off their feet with grand gestures and declarations of love. They're always ready to turn up the romance to 11! Just be prepared for a lot of heart-shaped everything and sappy love songs. Love conquers all, after all!
Sunny
Or the cheerful sim. A sunny sim is like a ray of sunshine on a rainy day. They're like a clown at a funeral, except instead of making things awkward, they're making everyone feel better. They're the kind of sim who could stub their toe and still find a reason to smile about it. So if you're feeling down, just hang around a sunny sim for a while - their infectious laughter is sure to lift your spirits!
Important; If you want your 2 sims to feel romantic attraction, and they are both music lovers and good, avoid adding them the Music Nerd and the Peacemaker Trait. In that case, only choose one similar trait that they both have and it is the same. For example, let's say that you want them to be only Music Nerds, then they will feel a special attraction because they share the same passion for music. Otherwise, if they both have 2 similar traits or more, they will create 2 buffs, that they are not so similar and that they are. So, only use one similar trait for 2 sims, and it should be the same for both.
In any case, a sim with one of these traits, like a Sunny one, will have a happy proximity buff when being around a Sunny sim as well as while being near a Cheerful sim, even if the sim does not have the Sunny trait, let's say an NPC that you haven't even played before.
So, how it works; A noncommittal sim is also connected with an Aloof sim and vice versa. A geek sim is also connected with a brainy sim and vice versa, and so on. You will experience this connection created during gameplay, or if you socialize your sim with any of the 14 traits with another similar sim.
The traits are only available from Teen to Elder sims.
You may use them as CAS or supplementary.
