Simgarten — Kindergarten for The Sims 4

Turn any community lot into a Kindergarten. Infants and toddlers spend their weekdays there with teachers, a chef and janitors. Your own little ones head off to kindergarten in the morning and come home in the evening.

🏫 The Kindergarten

- New venue type: Kindergarten. You can also turn any lot into a kindergarten from the pie menu.
- Open Monday–Friday, 07:00–18:00. Closed on weekends and holidays.
- Parents are asked not to visit 08:00–11:00 (the busy morning).
- Up to 9 children (infants and toddlers) and 5 staff.
- Private: random townies don't wander in like on a community lot.

👩‍🏫 The Staff

- 2 Kindergarten Teachers: flash cards, Teach to Talk, playing, peekaboo with infants, and carrying arriving infants inside at opening time.
- 1 Chef: cooks a party-size meal (8 servings) for breakfast, lunch and dinner, puts it on the table and calls everyone. Finishes anything left half-cooked. Never asks you what to cook.
- 2 Janitors: repair, mop, clean toilets, counters, stoves and high chairs, and tidy toys. When everything is clean, they take free time.
- Staff are hired automatically and stay for good, until they die or grow too old.
- Hire anyone yourself: Simgarten → Staff opens the Sim picker. Choose any young adult, adult or elder for any job.
- Every staff member and child wears a role moodlet, so you can see who's who.

👶 The Children

- Sign up your infants and toddlers by phone or from the pie menu.
- Sign Up Another Child lets you enrol any infant or toddler in the world.
- The kindergarten keeps a few other children on the roll, so yours is never alone.
- Your children leave home at 07:00 and come back at 18:00 by themselves, with a notification each way.
- "Prepare for Exam" at home earns bonus points for Friday.

🎭 Sometimes visitors in animal costumes drop by in the morning and leave a gift for every child.

📝 Friday Exam

Toddlers show their skills and infants show their milestones. Every child gets a grade:
10–9 Excellent! · 8–7 Good · 6–5 Fine · 4 Satisfactory · 3–1 Bad
Good results raise the kindergarten's reputation.

💼 Run It as a Business

Buy the kindergarten, collect a daily fee per child and pay the staff wages. Check the books from the pie menu.

👔 Kindergarten Teacher Career

A new career for your own Sims: $15 → $25 → $60 per hour, with promotions through the Parenting skill. Your Sim goes to work like any normal job.

Simgarten → Settings: morning reminder, costume visits, closed on holidays, auto sign-up, private kindergarten.

📦 Requirements

- Base game. No packs needed.
- A venue list mod (Basemental's or Zerbu's) to pick "Kindergarten" in Build Mode. Without one, use Make this lot a Kindergarten from the pie menu.
- Recommended furniture: cribs, toddler beds, high chairs, a fridge, counters, a dining table, toys / toy box, an activity table, a playmat.

🛠️ Install

Put the 1simbol_Simgarten folder into Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods, and make sure Script Mods are enabled in the game options.

⚠️ Known Issues (beta)

- The game sometimes refuses the chef's Call to Meal. The food still goes on the table.
- Toddlers walk inside by themselves; only infants are carried in, because the game has no carry-inside action for toddlers.
