Meet Melodic Marvel and Wailing Wonder, two new Singing-focused Hobby traits that give karaoke performances a little more personality.

FEATURES:

Pitch & Personality adds two mutually exclusive Singing-focused Hobby traits:

• Melodic Marvel: A naturally gifted singer who learns Singing faster and loves to perform.
• Wailing Wonder: An enthusiastic, unpredictable singer whose performances are memorable for reasons all their own.

Both traits are available for Teen, Young Adult, Adult, and Elder Sims. They add personality-specific reactions to solo karaoke, karaoke duets, serenades, active listeners, relationship context, and vocal fatigue.

Karaoke duet performers are evaluated individually by the game. Two singers in the same duet may therefore have different experiences. For example, a Melodic Marvel may receive "One Song, Two Directions" while a Wailing Wonder receives "Caught The Tune". This is accepted behavior, not a duplicate or routing error.

This release uses premade Maxis singing microphone icons for all custom moodlets. Positive moodlets use the Maxis positive microphone. Embarrassed and Uncomfortable moodlets use the Maxis negative microphone. The two trait icons remain custom. EA-owned moodlets are not edited.

REQUIREMENTS:

• The Sims 4 for PC or Mac
• The Sims 4 City Living Expansion Pack
• Custom Content and Mods enabled
• Script Mods Allowed enabled

The injector is included and self-contained. XML Injector and other third-party injectors are not required.

INSTALLATION:

1. Remove every older Pitch & Personality or SimlyPepper Singing Traits core package and injector from Mods.
2. Do not install this package beside the preserved custom-icon package.
3. Place the entire SimlyPepper_PitchAndPersonality_v1.0.0 folder in Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods. The package and ts4script must be no more than one folder deep.
4. Delete localthumbcache.package from Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4.
5. Start the game and confirm that Custom Content and Script Mods are enabled.
6. Open the command console and run:

   simlypepper.singing_traits_status

   The response should report SimlyPepper Singing Traits v1.0.0.
   
   

UPDATE OR UNINSTALL:

Remove both the package and ts4script together, then delete localthumbcache.package before restarting the game. Never keep two versions of the core package installed at once.

COMPATIBILITY:

• The mod adds its hooks without replacing the original Maxis karaoke interactions.
• Mods that change City Living karaoke or Singing outcome routing may conflict.
• No blanket compatibility claim is made for other Singing, karaoke, trait, or autonomy mods unless they are listed as tested.
• English strings are included in v1.0.0.

TROUBLESHOOTING:

If the traits do not appear, confirm City Living is installed, both mod options are enabled, the ts4script is not more than one folder deep, and the status command reports v1.0.0.

If moodlets are missing or duplicated, make sure you've removed older core packages, deleted localthumbcache.package, and test with other Singing or karaoke mods temporarily removed.

When reporting an issue, include:

• The trait used.
• The activity and outcome.
• The active Sim and any listener or duet partner involved.
• The Sims 4 game version.
• Other Singing, karaoke, trait, or autonomy mods installed.
• Any LastException or Better Exceptions report.

• Broader Singing and performance compatibility.
