15.09.2026 - Claiming a fridge should now prevent certain interactions on food which is inside the fridge like grab serving. Be aware, fridges do share inventories that means food inside is locked as soon as one fridge on the lot is claimed, no matter if other fridges are unclaimed! So when a hungry sim (or when you use auto solve hunger) does not have access to a fridge they will not be able to get food from other fridges or switch to autonomously cooking instead. I recommend to claim a fridge for the whole household, so only NPCs are blocked. Sims are still able to grab a serving or consume food that is outside fridges or when no fridges are claimed on the lot. Keep that in mind when you have NPC roommates.
