Passive-Aggressive

Insult others under the guise of being sweet and kind.

This mod requires Lot 51 Core Library but does not require any DLC.

Passive-Aggressive is a reward trait that adds interactions that look like kindness but are actually... insults.

You can see examples of these interactions at the end of the post.

To get this trait, purchase it in the reward store for free.

By default, most normal mean interactions (including some modded ones) are disabled unless you're very angry/enraged or in an abhorrent conversation. So the only way to be mean is to be passive-aggressive. (There's an optional add-on to change that though, read below)

Be Stealthy... or Be Loud?

The interactions borrow animations from friendly socials and can result in genuinely friendly outcome, if the target Sim completely misses the hint... And they also don't have negative effects on character values. The base chance for the target to miss the hint is 25%, which is also influenced by traits, moods, charisma and acting skill levels of both the actor and target Sims.

However... they may still figure you out!!!

Their suspicion can stack three times in a short period. You can see from the speech bubble they have near the end of the interaction. If you temporarily stop being passive-aggressive (or if they miss the hint), the stacks can fade and you're safe again!

If you're not careful enough (or if you simply wanna be mean), upon reaching the third stack, all the interactions will be marked by an Exclamation Mark. This effect lasts 4 hours.

At this point these interactions are no longer autonomous and will have mean interactions' outcomes. If you continue using them, you'll unlock normal mean interactions towards that Sim and traumatize them for 2 days. During this time they only need one stack to become aware.

Autonomy

All passive-aggressive interactions are autonomous if the target Sim is not fully aware you're insulting them.

If you don't want your Sim to autonomously use these interactions on a specific Sim, you can Shift-Click (with testingcheats enabled) on them -> Passive-Aggressive -> Disallow/Allow Autonomy Toward [Sim Name]

Optional Add-ons

This mod has three optional add-ons. You can combine them freely.

Please keep all the add-on(s) in the same folder as the main file and please do not rename the add-ons.

AddOn_OnlyTowardSpecificSim:

By default disables all passive-aggressive interactions (so they won't appear in the pie menu at all), unless you enable them on a specific Sim/Sims, then they will appear for that Sim.

Shift-Click on Sim (with testingcheats enabled) -> Passive-Aggressive -> Allow/Disallow Passive-Aggressive Interactions Toward [Sim Name]

AddOn_ReverseAutonomy

By default disables autonomy for all passive-aggressive interactions, but you can enable autonomy toward a specific Sim/Sims. You may need this add-on if you only want your Sim to autonomously use these interactions on the Sims you specifically choose.

Shift-Click on Sim (with testingcheats enabled) -> Passive-Aggressive -> Allow/Disallow Passive-Aggressive Autonomy Toward [Sim Name]

Note that Sims will still not autonomously use these interactions when the target has become aware.

AddOn_DontRestrictNormalMeanInteractions

Normal mean interactions will always be available for Passive-aggressive Sims. If you don't have this add-on, they'll be blocked except when your Sim is angry, the conversation is abhorrent, or the target Sim has become fully aware.
