This mod edits how sims autonomously begin talking to one another while eating.

Credits: This mod is based of the original mod idea created by Mokunoid on Mod the Sims who was not active since 2024, and the mod has not been updated since 2023. If they ever get back to modding and want me to remove my reworked version, they can contact me anytime via my Discord.

Better Talk While Eating

I did not only fix this mod for the latest patches I reworked it from scratch to make it work a little bit different than the original version.

Original mod features:

The likelihood that a Sim will start a conversation depends on their traits, their mood, and their relationship with the other Sim(s). Sims who are too hungry, tired, or uncomfortable will focus on eating.

Outgoing sims will readily engage in conversations with all other sims unless they've got a particularly negative relationship, whereas most other sims will prefer to chat to people they know. Family oriented sims prefer to chat with family members or best friends. Romantic sims prefer to chat with love interests. Loners rarely talk while eating, but may talk to a close friend.

What I changed in the new mod version compared to the original mod:

It tries to block EA's social push when sims are eating together and instead only uses the mods push which tests for moods, traits etc.
It blocks sims to try and talk to someone they did not met to before.
Sims should not get up to clean up dishes right away, so they should linger and chat a bit more.
The original version gives a push to do the sim_chat interaction but that is just a background interaction where sims not really talk or where it takes a bit until they actually talk, but when you don't have mods that let's sims eat longer they would often be finished with eating before actually talking, so this version gives an extra push to better start talking.
