Description

With Notebook Injector, mod creators can now build new Notebook content through:

✅ custom categories and subcategories
✅ entries in custom or compatible existing sections
✅ automatic category and subcategory enum allocation
✅ conflict detection and tuning validation
✅ support for recipes, bait, animal feed, gardening plants, country items, and more
✅ fully configurable CUSTOM entries, ingredient lists, and tooltips
✅ public source code, XML examples, templates, and documentation

Notebook Injector provides a shared foundation for extending the Notebook without requiring creators to rebuild the same Python systems or use traditional overrides of EA Notebook resources.

Compatible mods can create their own categories and subcategories, add entries to compatible existing sections, configure icons and localized text, display ingredient lists, control sorting and entry limits, and use several standard or specialized Notebook entry types.

Highly recommended: Install Mod Update Checker (MUC) by Demeterio to receive in-game notifications when a new version of Notebook Injector is available.

Every official release provides two ZIP archives:

  • Use the PLAYER archive for a normal game installation.
  • Use the MODDER archive when creating a Notebook Injector integration for another mod. It includes the runtime files, complete documentation, testing resources, and XML examples.
Mod creators must not bundle or redistribute the Notebook Injector core files with their own mods. Players should always be directed to an official Notebook Injector download page.

Installation and compatibility information are included inside each ZIP.

⚠️ Notebook Injector does not add gameplay content by itself. Players should install it only when another mod lists Notebook Injector as a requirement.
