You like to play criminal Sims, but the Criminal career is not enough? You'd like your Sim to steal from strangers, but the Klepto trait doesn't quite offer what you want? With this mod, your Sim can finally Be A Burglar! Break into the houses of strangers (or friends), steal all their expensive stuff and make off with a fortune - but beware that you don't get caught!
What this mod does:
- New Reward trait: Burglar - Enables Break In and Swipe interactions
- New interaction: Break In - lets you break into the houses or apartments of any Sim (Celebrity houses and Private Dwellings have higher security and need a higher Burglary skill level to break in to)
- New interaction: Swipe - you don't need the Klepto trait to steal things! What kind of items are available for stealing depend on your Burglary skill
- New Skill: Burglary - 5 level minor skill
- Some new buffs, strings and icons
Do not get caught!
- Getting caught breaking into houses or stealing will make your Sim flee the crime scene
- Each time your Sim gets caught, there's a chance the police will arrest them for Burglary and take away the stolen items - this chance is lower the higher the skill level
Optional Addon: Vaults
Personally, I think it's stupid that any random Sim with Mischief skill can break into the Get Famous vaults, so this little optional Addon overwrites the game's "Break Into Vault" interaction and makes it require level 5 of the Burglary skill instead. Requires Get Famous.
A small note:
I cannot recommend trying to rob default EA houses on Level 1 or 2, as those houses usually are very bare and do not offer many items to steal. I recommend using houses you created yourself or downloaded from the gallery instead.
