First of all, this mod requires Lot51's Core Library 1.37 or superior, I won't be giving support to people if it's clear they did not install this dependency.

With the arrival of the Royalty & Legacy Expansion Pack, secrets and scandals have become one of the most intriguing additions to the game. However, the system does have some flaws that I’m not particularly fond of. This mod aims to address those shortcomings by fleshing out the system, adding more available options, and tweaking existing interactions to enhance immersion.

New Secrets

After reviewing the files from the Royalty & Legacy Expansion Pack, I discovered that many situations do not generate secrets, such as fighting, extortion, or talking trash about other Sims. This mod aims to fix that by introducing new possible secrets and scandals into the game.

These secrets have custom effects and will be affected by all vanilla interactions the way vanilla secrets and scandals are meant to be affected.

Provoked a fight

Triggered by: Starting a fight
Severity: Medium
Affects: Only the Sim who triggered the fight
Negative effects when shared: When talking to the secret owner, the Sim you shared the secret with might feel scared or confident, depending on their traits.
Negative effects when revealed: Negatively impacts Career Performance, Reputation, and Dynasty Prestige. When talking to this Sim, Evil and Hot-Headed Sims will build relationships faster and feel confident, while other Sims will feel scared and will have a harder time with socialization.

Trashed Another Sim

Triggered by: Using the "Trash Another Sim" interaction
Severity: Minor
Affects: Both Sims that participated in the interaction
Negative effects when shared: The friendly relationship between the secret owner and the target Sim gets a -10 hit. If they don't know each other, a new relationship gets created.
Negative effects when revealed: All friendly relationships from both Sims receive a -10 hit. It negatively impacts Dynasty Prestige and reputation. (it will stack up with the previous effect when shared)

Extortionist

Triggered by: Using any extortion-related interaction from the Royalty & Legacy Expansion Pack
Severity: Medium
Affects: Only the Sim who triggered the interaction
Negative effects when shared: None
Negative effects when revealed: Negatively impacts Career Performance, Reputation, and Dynasty Prestige. All the extortion interactions will always fail.

Lost against an extortionist

Triggered by: Losing a fight against an extortionist, started by the "Fight Extortionist" interaction.
Severity: Minor
Affects: Only the Sim who triggered the interaction
Negative effects when shared: None
Negative effects when revealed: Negatively impacts Dynasty Prestige and reputation.

Your Sim will be able to use my two custom interactions, "Mock" and "Shun", on Scandalised Sims. Keep in mind that if the target Sim is already affected by vanilla scandals, EA’s default scandal interaction will also appear alongside mine.

Known Issues

Sometimes my custom secrets may be added alongside one from the game when using interactions like "Buy a Secret" on the computer. I’ll leave it as is, since fixing this would require overwriting game files.
When talking to a Sim with the "Provoked a fight" secret, sometimes the buffs will not get trigger, this is because the initial interaction has to be targeted at the Sim with the scandal, or initiated by them.
