What changed:

A new self interaction has been added for female Sims:

Confirm Current Pregnancy

Your Sim must actually be pregnant for this to make sense in gameplay. Once the pregnancy is confirmed, your Sim will receive the Currently Pregnant trait.

After that trait is added, your Sim will unlock:

Feelings About Pregnancy

This opens up new ways for your pregnant Sim to process how they feel about the pregnancy. They can confirm if they feel excited, overwhelmed, nervous, mixed, or emotionally caught between joy and fear.

From there, more pregnancy socials unlock so your Sim can start sharing the news with other Sims.

Your Sim can now share pregnancy news with:

Partners
Friends
Kids / children in the household
Other Sims in their story

When another Sim receives the pregnancy news, they get a response trait that allows them to talk about pregnancy-related topics afterward.

So now the flow works more like this:

Pregnant Sim confirms pregnancy
Pregnant Sim receives the Currently Pregnant trait
Pregnant Sim unlocks feelings about pregnancy
Pregnant Sim shares the news
The other Sim receives a pregnancy reaction trait
Pregnancy-related conversations unlock between them
