This mod allows sims to interact with pets that were previously little more than decor and something to collect. It includes fish and other collectibles from the base game and multiple expansion packs.

Intro

There are two ways to download this mod so please read and make sure you do the method that's right for you. CurseForge: If you own all Sims 4 packs you can download the main mod and the merged modules from CurseForge. This will allow you to update with Sims 4 Mod Manager. Patreon: If you do not have all packs you should download from Patreon (free) and pick and choose the files you need based on which packs you have.

Main Mod

Adds functionality to all fishbowls and aquariums as well as frog, alien, insect, and axolotl collectibles to name them, feed them, and talk to them.

The XML Injector
If you don't have Get Famous you should download the Patreon version to get the override for alternate animations.
Extra interactions are available with Outdoor Retreat, Get to Work, Lovestruck, and Adventure Awaits

Naming Pets

Already existed for fish, but added for the others

Feeding Pets

Gives the sim a custom buff. Usually it's a happy buff, but Squeamish sims will be uncomfortable with caring for frogs, aliens, and insects.
Locks the sim out from feeding the same type of pet again for a while. It can be assumed that your sim feeds all their frogs at once even though you only click on one tank.
Provides some Responsibility for children and teens.
If you forget to feed your pets there are no consequences. It's just for fun!

Talking to Pets

Talking to pets give some social motive, just like Mermaids talking to fish in Island Living.
Butterflies do not have this option as "Chat" is already an existing interaction for them.

Compatibility & Integration

Helaene's Fear Factory: Sims with a fear of frogs will get the squeamish buff when feeding pet frogs.
NateTheL0ser's Misery Traits: Sims with the Alien Hater trait will get the squeamish buff when feeding pet aliens.
Any custom objects that share the object tuning from these objects will get the same interactions.

Regarding My Old "Feed Your Pets" Mods

This is a reworked mod to replace all my Feed Your Pets mods (with the exception of the plant one) and have them all in one place. Please delete the old mods and addons and read the description and README for details and requirements.

Module 1: Fish Are Pets

Recategorizes all fishbowls and aquariums into the Miscellaneous Pets category and adds custom thumbnails to the first swatch of each with the Ilex's Pet Care icon.

Does not actually require the main mod. Will work perfectly fine without it. Seems kind of silly to use it without it, but you do you.

Anything else that overrides the fishbowl and aquarium objects. I don't know of anything specific but I'm sure there are recolor mods out there.

Module 2: Purchase Pet Treats

Adds the option to buy all pet treats from treat container objects and medicine treats from the vet cart. Also adds additional treats from to the menu for these and the treat vending machines as long of you have the packs necessary.

Other packs aren't required for the mod, but for the treats from Cottage Living and Horse Ranch to appear in the menu you need to own them.
Does not actually require the main mod. Will work perfectly fine without it.

Compatibility & Integration

LittleMsSam's Anti-Heat Pill: Adds the pill to the treat jar and vet cart menus.

Conflicts

Anything that edits the vet vending machine purchase interaction. I don't know of anything specific, but it's probably out there so if you come across something let me know and I'll see if I can make it compatible.
Anything else that overrides the treat jar and vet cart objects. I don't know of anything specific but I'm sure there are recolor mods out there.

If you've created your own custom pets or pet treats and want them included in this just reach out and ask me to add them. (Actually if you're not a modder and know of something I could add integration for let me know too)
