UPDATE 25.08.2025

Since the latest patch (1.117.227) the required mod by LunarBritney is also broken, and I haven't been able to find a replacement that works. I will therefor disable my files for download until I can make them work with or without another mod.

UPDATE 29.01.2025

After updating my game, clearing cache and doing some testing back and forth with the LunarBritney mod, I'm sorry to report that my background overrides are not working. I don't have the knowledge to fix this myself, so unless some clever head finds a (different) solution they are to consider permanently broken. I'm sorry! 😫

I’m sorry to report that my background overrides are not working, unless you use the LunarBritney_2025MainMenuAdjusted version (makes the household image larger).

If you hate the new menu backgrounds there are sollutions!

I really didn't hate the new main menu backgrounds from the January 14th game update, but I definitely didn't love them either. So when the lovely Amethyst-Lilac made an easy to follow guide on how to make your own, I decided to give it a try, and will share my favorites with you. So far there are seven, three with images from my Stone Age save and four from my Early Civ save. I still have material for more, but they will have to stay in my WIP-folder for now. If/when they are published I will update this post.😊.

These overrides will replace the Starter menu in The Sims 4. Made for 1920x1080 screens, but as far as I understand they should work for all screen resolutions. Please let me know if they don't.

Install: Download - Unzip - Place package file in your mod folder
🚨Very important: You can only have one of these in your mod folder at the time!
Uninstall: Delete the file from your mod folder.
