Helaenes Preferences Plus Revived

This is the original, 100% authentic, Helaene’s Preferences Plus that has been brought into the shop, faithfully restored, updated, debugged, and fully refurbished! Nothing removed. All socials from the original mod are in their original location(s).

The rebuild process also eliminated the use of Mod Constructor and it's script and now uses the Lot51 Core Library.

The mod has been updated include recipes and preference items such as free weights that have been added since the original mod retired including recipes from the following packs:

Original Description

This mod provides additional hobby preferences, new outfit and venue preference categories, and general interests, for selection in CAS using the new likes/dislikes system. Preferences have unique social and computer interactions, whims, moodlets and autonomy settings.

Interactions in this mod can be performed autonomously so you get some gameplay flavor from your selections. Most have a Friendship or Romance impact as well.

• Everything is optional (nothing will be automatically applied) and there are NO overrides to regular game functionality, which should make it compatible with most other mods, and less likely to break with patches.
•  Icons and writing feel immersive / natural to the game as much as possible.
• Buffs are intentionally kept very 'mild' (in other words, your Sim won't be overwhelmingly delighted by wearing athleticwear if their spouse just died.
• Gives your Sims more unique personalities through their interactions and reactions, both directed and autonomous, and makes bonds between similar Sims feel more genuine.
• Social interactions add more than just flavor or relationship increases through new moodlets and revealing of relevant traits (both custom preference traits and built-in traits).
• Several interactions, including new computer interactions, provide random moodlet results, increasing playability through the element of surprise (such as reading a horoscope).

Installation

This mod is supplied as a single package file. Place the mod in your Sims 4 mod folder along with the required and/or recommended dependencies. That’s it!

What to Expect

Once you have installed the mod and it’s required/recommended dependencies you should see something like this:

Inside CAS, you will see the preferences selection area as indicated above (red circle). Selecting that will open a menu of preference categories, and within those categories, a number of specific preferences that offer you the opportunity to either like, dislike, or ignore a dizzying array of choices.

From there, you can inspect and select the preferences from inside CAS for:

• Hobbies
• Outfits
• Venues
• Interests
• Personal
• Cuisines
• Flavors
• Drinks

Additional Functionality

Action Menu

·       In the Actions menu when clicking on a Sim (either the active Sim or an inactive Sim) there is a new menu called PreferencesPlus. Within that menu you can set random preferences (all categories, or just outfits, venues and interests individually). You can also easily remove all preferences with one click.

Archetypes

• Quickly add a group of related preferences to create believable characters
• Can be used via the Actions menu, including on non-active Sims.
• Each archetype includes some base-game preferences, and some custom ones.
• Initial archetypes include: Cultured, Daydreamer, Goth, Gourmand, Hacker, Healthy, Hippy, Jock, Nerd, Neurotic, Partier, Rebel, Rugged, Saint, Sentimental, Serious, Social Conservative, Socialite, Urbanite
