This mod locks the Get Leftovers interaction so only your household Sims can use it.
Only your household can grab leftovers.
I made this because I was tired of cooking eight servings and watching a townie I'd never met eat six of them. Players have been asking for a fridge lock for a long time — it came up as "highly requested" in the September 15 dev Q&A, and the devs said they'd follow up. So here it is.
How this mod works:
- Hides the Get Leftovers option on fridges from everyone except your active household Sims.
- Visitors, roommates, and service NPCs don't get the option at all.
- Food your Sims take out and plate up is still fair game for guests. The lock is on the fridge, not the table.
Known limitations:
- v1.0 is always on. No toggle yet.
- Overrides the six Get Leftovers picker interactions, so it may conflict with other mods that touch those same interactions.
Installation: Unzip the file and drop the .package into Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 / Mods. Then enable Mods in Game Options > Other. That's it.
Compatibility: Base game compatible. Built and tested on patch 1.128. Should work with all expansion packs, game packs, stuff packs, and kits.
Changelog: v1.0 — initial release.
Future ideas: an in-game toggle, then per-group control, then per-Sim. No promises on timing.
Recommended mods to use with this: Slower Need Decay (all six needs decay slower).
