FiftyFifty Companion

The FiftyFifty companion mod(named in the loving memory of the 50/50 method that patch day brings) is a ts4script mod that goes inside your sims 4 mods folder. Unlike tools that scan your mods from the outside, the FiftyFifty Companion mod enters the python environment and scans from the inside. It scans for other mods, errors, duplicate mods, dead patterns, silent failures, mod conflicts, corrupt package files and for all mods to be compatible with EA's latest patch release. By compatible I mean it checks to see if any of your mods are broken because of the latest patch changes. FiftyFifty not only does this, but also a long list of other things that would be considered "house keeping" for your mods folder. It includes but is not limited to scanning ts4script files, package files, and CC package files with tuning for many different things that have been known to go wrong, and most likely will.

After your fiftyfifty_diagnostic file is produced in your "Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4" folder, message the FiftyFifty Diagnostic bot via my discord and it will analyze your file. After, It will give you a personalized diagnostic report (a txt document) unique to your specific mods folder explaining the current state of the mods inside. The mods mentioned in the report will be mentioned by name so you do not have to wonder which it is. 

The beauty of this mod is that it has another secret use... Say you are not playing the latest released game version because you dont wish to update yet. Well what you can do is use my mod and scan your files to see which files would be broken if you did update to the current released version. Saves you the headache of wondering what would happen if you were to update, and totally puts you in the best position possible to plan for when you finally do.

What FiftyFifty cannot do is scan for UI errors and failures, behavioral changes (when EA changes what a function does without renaming it), emergent conflicts (where 2 individually working mods break together), detect corrupted binary assets like broken textures or meshes, runtime state dependent failures that only occur under specific game conditions, C++ extension failures, and it also cannot detect DX11 graphics issues.    

For UI related issues specifically I highly recommend twisted mexi's "better exceptions". Better Exceptions along with the FiftyFifty companion mod is the RIP to the 50/50 method entirely for your patch day specific problems.

Installation Instructions:

To install simply take the "! ! FiftyFifty Companion" file out of the zip folder, then drop the companion folder into your mods folder and run the game normally. When you load into a world, its done. A new FiftyFifty_Diagnostic.5050  or if you cant load into the your world, a FiftyFifty_crash.5050 file will appear in your "Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 folder". 

Once you acquire your file, you will message the FiftyFifty Diagnostic bot via my discord with just your FiftyFifty_Diagnostic or FiftyFifty_crash file and it will then promptly analyze your file and you will receive your personalized and accurate diagnostic analysis based on EA's current TS4 game version in a simple txt document. That's it! 

Requirements:

1.) You must have a discord account to submit your diagnostic or crash file to the FiftyFifty Diagnostic bot. This is mandatory. Discord is free, and does not take long to create an account.

2.) Sims 4 must be installed in order for the mod to work. The mod is useless without the game installed guys lol.

3.) If your computer is strong enough to run sims 4, thats the only pc requirement you need. My mod is super light weight so it doesnt slow down your computer when you use it.

I currently work solo so if anyone tells you I sent them or are representing my product, do not believe them and more importantly do not download any ts4scripts from them via any discord not even mine. curseforge, nexus, and modthesims will be the ONLY places my companion mod will be hosted for now.
