EmployeeMastery is a simple gameplay mod for The Sims 4: Businesses & Hobbies that automatically maxes the skills of newly hired Small Business employees.
I made this because I wanted hiring employees to feel less frustrating. Sometimes you find the Sim you want to hire, but their skills are too low for the work you actually need them to do. With EmployeeMastery, once a new employee is successfully hired, their normal learnable skills are automatically set to their maximum level.
Features
- Automatically works when you hire a new Businesses & Hobbies Small Business employee
- Maxes the employee’s normal learnable skills
- Respects skills that have different maximum levels
- Does not intentionally change needs, relationships, age, occult progression, or other non-skill statistics
- No extra setup or interaction is needed after hiring
Important
This version is made specifically for the Businesses & Hobbies Small Business system.
It does not currently affect employees from:
- Dine Out restaurants
- Get to Work retail stores
- Cats & Dogs veterinary clinics
- Other service or career systems
Support for more employee types may be added later.
Requirements
- The Sims 4
- Businesses & Hobbies Expansion Pack
- Script Mods enabled in Game Options
Installation
Extract the downloaded ZIP file and place the included .ts4script file in your Sims 4 Mods folder.
Example:
Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\EmployeeMastery\EmployeeMastery.ts4script
Script mods should not be placed more than one folder deep.
Restart the game after installing or updating the mod.
How to Use
- Own or create a Small Business using Businesses & Hobbies.
- Hire an employee through the normal Small Business employee menu.
- Once the Sim is successfully hired, EmployeeMastery will automatically max their applicable skills.
That’s it.
Compatibility
EmployeeMastery only changes employee skills after hiring. It is not meant to overhaul the Small Business system itself.
Mods that heavily change Small Business hiring or employee management may cause compatibility issues.

The project cover is AI-generated promotional artwork made to represent the mod. It is not an exact in-game screenshot, so the actual Sims 4 interface will look different.
