If you have a large CAS collection, you probably know the feeling: you remember exactly which creator made the item you want… but finding it among thousands of thumbnails can take forever.
TiniSims Creator Filter adds a new Creator section to the filters in Create a Sim, allowing you to view your CC according to the folders you create.
The idea is simple:
- Create a folder for a creator inside the TiniSims Creator Filter folder.
- Place that creator’s CAS .package files inside it.
- The folder name becomes a selectable filter in CAS.
You can organise your folders by creator, but you are also free to use other useful labels such as Favourite Hairs or 2026 Finds.
✨Whatever name you give the folder will be the name displayed in the filter✨
Creator filters still follow The Sims 4 CAS categories. For example, if you’re browsing Hair and select “simstrouble,” you’ll only see simstrouble’s CC that belongs to the Hair category—not every item by that creator.
💎Why I created it💎
I wanted a way to organise large CAS collections without modifying creators’ original package files and without requiring users to install or run an external application.
Creator Filter reads your CC in read-only mode. It does not edit the original packages and does not modify any original The Sims 4 files.
Once the filters have been generated, you can select one or multiple folders in CAS and immediately narrow down the catalogue.
⚠️Important: please read the guide before installing⚠️
Creator Filter requires a little more setup than a regular drag-and-drop mod.
The initial setup uses a two-launch process, and the same process is required whenever you add, remove, rename or modify creator folders or package files.
I have prepared:
- A complete illustrated installation guide
- A step-by-step setup video
- Separate downloads for Standard CAS and More CAS Columns
Even if you watch the video, please read the guide before installing the mod. It explains the correct folder structure, how the first scan works, which version you need, how revision files are managed and what to expect during setup.
Installing the wrong edition or skipping part of the setup may prevent the filters from appearing correctly.
What about large CC collections?
The first scan may take some time because the mod has to read and index your CAS packages.
For reference, I tested Creator Filter with approximately:
- 100 GB of Custom Content
- 11,000 package files
- More than 300 organised folders
The exact time will depend on your collection, computer and storage drive. You can continue playing in Live Mode while the scan runs, but the game must remain open until the completion notification appears.
Of course, you don’t have to reorganise your entire CC collection! Just add your favourite creators—the ones you want to find more easily in CAS!
The good news is that the complete scan is not repeated every time you play. Unchanged files are loaded from the cache, while future updates normally process only the content that was added, removed or changed.

💌Feedback & bug reports💌
This is the first public release, so your feedback is incredibly valuable! If something doesn’t work as expected—or if you discover a mod that may not be compatible with Creator Filter—please let me know.
When reporting a problem, include your game version, the Creator Filter edition you installed, any CAS or UI mods you use, and screenshots or error files if available. This will help me investigate the issue more quickly. 🛠️✨
If you experience a serious issue—such as a crash or a failed scan—close The Sims 4 completely and move the cc creator file into your normal mods folder and move entire [TINISIMS] Creator Filter folder out of your Mods folder.
This will safely disable Creator Filter and allow you to start the game normally while the issue is investigated.
After safely backing up your creator folders and CC, proceed with a clean installation of the mod. Download a fresh copy, place the new [TINISIMS] Creator Filter folder inside Mods, then move your creator folders back into it while the game is closed. Follow the first-scan and two-launch setup again.
