Better Darts

Better Darts turns the dartboard from The Sims 4: Get Together into a deeper gameplay system with a visible 10-level Dart skill, real checkout rules, focused practice sessions, competitive reactions, computer research, and a complete 10-level off-lot career.

Features

• A visible 10-level Dart skill with its own icon, skill-panel entry, level-up messages, and accuracy progression.
• Skill-based multiplayer matches. The lowest-skilled participant determines the standard match: 101 Single Out, 151 Single Out, 201 Single Out, or 201 Double Out.
• Two optional modes: a quick 101 Single Out match and a full 501 Double Out tournament match.
• Proper singles, doubles, triples, double bull, exact checkout, and full three-dart bust rollback.
• Four practice sessions: relaxed throwing, precision practice, doubles practice, and a 61 checkout challenge.
• Competitive moodlets for close wins, high checkouts, repeated busts, and personality-based reactions to wins and losses.
• Research Dart Tips on a computer for a slower alternative way to build the skill.
• A native Dart Professional career with 10 levels, from Local League Player to Darts World Champion. Promotions require career performance, Dart skill, and cumulative multiplayer wins.
• English and German localization included.

Career progression

The fictional Sim Darts Circuit covers local leagues, regional opens, Q-School, the Challenge Tour, Tour Card competition, the ProTour, European events, majors, and the world final. It uses normal off-lot work shifts, pay, vacation, work tones, and career performance. Multiplayer wins are stored per Sim and persist across saves and career changes.

This is a streamlined fictional career inspired by professional darts. It does not reproduce a licensed PDC ranking, prize-money system, annual calendar, or tour-card administration.

Requirements

• Get Together (required for the dartboard and its animations)
• Script Mods Allowed and Custom Content enabled

Installation

1. Close The Sims 4 completely.
2. Remove older copies of BetterDarts_Core.package, BetterDarts_Gameplay.ts4script, DartSim4_Core.package, DartSim4_Gameplay.ts4script, and the obsolete DartSim4_Tests.ts4script from your Mods folder.
3. Extract the downloaded ZIP.
4. Place BetterDarts_Core.package and BetterDarts_Gameplay.ts4script together in Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods. They may be placed no more than one subfolder deep.
5. Enable both Custom Content and Mods and Script Mods Allowed, then restart the game.

Both included files are required. Do not install the ZIP itself into the Mods folder; extract it first.
