You might recognize this diffuser from my Stylish Appliances collection. I wanted to revisit the design and give it more functionality, so your Sims can now choose between three aromas, buy refills, and enjoy a different mood boost from each scent!
- Lavender: Happy +1, perfect for a relaxed evening at home.
- Citrus: Energized +1, for a little extra motivation.
- Rosemary: Focused +1, handy for studying or working on a project.
The aroma affects nearby Sims within range and with a clear line of sight to the diffuser. Its effect disappears when they move out of range or you switch it off.
How it works
New diffusers start with all three aromas empty. Each §25 refill adds two activations to the selected aroma, and each activation lasts up to eight Sim hours.
Turning the diffuser off early or changing aromas uses the activation you already started. You can check the remaining activations in the menu.
While an aroma is running, its activation button is hidden to prevent accidentally using another charge. The final activation keeps running even when there are no uses left in reserve. You can refill that aroma once it is empty and has stopped running.
If your Sim cannot afford a refill, the purchase option will be disabled with an explanation. Successful purchases show a notification confirming the refill.
