🎯 WHAT THIS MOD DOES
This mod fixes a very specific issue: Fia Acosta could never accept a move-in request, regardless of the circumstances.
Important clarification: this isn't really a bug, it's a hidden trait (trait_isRobinHood) that was deliberately blocking this Sim and preventing her from joining our household. The game was behaving exactly as configured that behavior itself was the problem.
The modified file is: E882D22F!00000000!0000000000017FFC.mixer_social_AskMoveIn_targeted_Friendly_alwaysOn.InteractionTuning.xml
The trait_isRobinHood trait has been removed from two internal game lists:
- ❌ the blacklist on the acceptance branch;
- ❌ the whitelist on the forced-rejection branch
🤔 WHY THIS BUG EXISTED
Fia Acosta has the trait_isRobinHood trait. The game's original tuning automatically excluded Sims with this trait from the acceptance branch of AskMoveIn, redirecting them straight to the rejection response even when the relationship and every other condition were met.
No matter the Sim, whether they're an ordinary character or one hiding a special trait known only to them (or to the game) if there's a bond, a wish, a reason to move in together, that shouldn't be silently blocked behind the scenes with no way around it. A hidden trait shouldn't get the final say over a decision that really belongs to the relationship between Sims and the story you want to tell. That belief is what drove this fix: giving every Sim the freedom to join a household if that's what you want, with no hidden exception buried in the tuning.
✅ RESULT
Fia can now normally accept a move-in request through the standard AskMoveIn interaction. No other rule of the mechanic has been touched: this is a targeted fix, not a rewrite of the system.
📦 COMPATIBILITY
- Affects only the
AskMoveInfriendly-targeted social mixer tuning. - No other traits, interactions, or Sims are impacted.
- Should be compatible with most other mods unless they also override the same tuning file.
⚠️ DISCLAIMER
I might be the only one who's run into this move-in blocking issue. But just in case I'm not, at least this mod will be publicly available for anyone who needs it.
