To Kirsten, the best part of winter in Minnesota is joining her brother Lars and his friend John on their trapline. However, one bad decision on her part spells disaster for the Larson family when their cabin on Uncle Olav’s farm burns down. They have the opportunity to finally buy a home of their own, but the process is bittersweet.
