The Medieval Bath House was a place for fun and party, as well a health, hygiene and pleasure.

This was what I aimed for when creating bath houses and CC for them for Sims 4.

I am from Sweden and even if we are not as sauna crazy as our dear neighbors in Finland, we also love to “go in the sauna”. We call it bastu, which is short for bath hut, or bath house. In olden times it was something every homestead had, especially up north where I have my roots.

The sauna in Sims 4 annoyed me though. Taking so much room with so few seats? Also, modern is nice but totally useless in a medieval save. So I experimented with the sims 4 sauna, and this is what came out of my experimentations.

I shortened the benches and shrunk the footprint so you can place a couple of sauna seats together and get a LONG sauna. Then I made upper benches, and now we are talking.

Lots of sims sweating together. Cozy!

You build your sauna like this: make a room 4x2 squares (or 4x4, 4x6 ect, depending on how long sauna and how many seats you wish to have). Place the lower benches in a row. Then the upper benches “on top. You dont need a fireplace, the steam will come from the floor, but a nice fireplace of course gives even more cozy.

If you want a very small sauna, in a small house perhaps, you can use only the lower benches and make one thats in 3x2 squares.
