Petroglyphs are ways of communication and I bet it was revolutionary when it first appeared. Much like the internet was for us when it came (no it hasn't always been here, kids!). I'm stunned when I see the minimalistic beauty of them, still informative and artistic thouseands of years later. Please understand that the red swatch never existed, it was added in modern times for us to see them more clearly.
