There are two functional items in this set, the picnic basket (requires cottage living) and the books, I would have loved to make the teapot functional, however, objects like teapots have to follow the exact construction of EA's teapots, otherwise they do not work well, so unfortunately, for now, the teapot is only deco.
The hot chocolate, tea cup and coffee cup have a cool little steam effect each.
The teacup, cutting board version 2, and the cake tray contain slots. The strainer can be placed inside the teacup. The cake, cake piece, and magnolia cake wreath will lock on the tray once placed on it as well. The books contain a slot which makes them stackable, and so you can also place clutter on top.
