Ancient Kiln & Pottery Set

This is a custom pottery-themed CC set for The Sims 4, designed and created by a high school student, inspired by traditional Chinese ceramic craftsmanship—especially the ancient kilns of Jingdezhen.

***2025-7-25 🔥 Upgraded Real-Smoke Kiln Now Included***

A new kiln variation has been added! Compared with the original version, this kiln features a more realistic smoke effect with a dynamic, fuller, and more visible smoke shape.

Original Kiln: emits light smoke for a short duration; requires deletion and replacement to restart the animation
New Real-Smoke Kiln (INSIDE THE UPDATED ZIP FILE): emits continuous smoke with a more vivid and lifelike shape—no need to replace it manually!

IMPORTANT: While updating the animation for the new kiln, I forgot to clone the original mod before making changes. As a result, the game may only recognize the new Real-Smoke Kiln included in this updated ZIP file, and not the original version.

If you prefer the original kiln with the lighter smoke effect, feel free to download the previous ZIP file instead. Both versions are available—choose the one that best fits your scene!

【That said, I still most recommend the Real-Smoke version—its dynamic smoke looks much more realistic and really enhances the overall vibe!】

The Set Includes the Following Items:
🔹 Ancient Egg-Shaped Kiln (Animated)
Based on the traditional danxingyao (egg kiln) structure from Jingdezhen. This kiln features a domed mud top, a brick-built stove base, and a tall chimney.
Includes smoke animation that runs for a limited time; to reactivate, delete and replace it in Build Mode.

➡️ Now available in two versions:

• The original light-smoke kiln (short duration, more subtle effect)

• The new continuous-smoke kiln, with a more realistic and vivid smoke shape

⚠️ Due to a technical oversight during animation editing (the mod wasn't cloned before changes), the game may only recognize the new continuous-smoke version if you use the updated ZIP file.
If you still prefer the original light-smoke version, feel free to download the earlier ZIP file separately.

🔹 Protective Saggar
A hollow cylindrical vessel used to protect pottery during the firing process. Can be paired with the kiln or placed independently as decoration.

🔹 Ceramic Shard Floor Tile
A deco floor made of scattered porcelain fragments, replicating the look of ruined kiln sites or workshops. Ideal for heritage-themed builds or exhibition spaces.

🔹 Clay-Stained Apron (Recolor)
A recolor of an existing Sims apron, enhanced with clay smudges and pottery stains for a more immersive artisan look.
