What's new

Enemy HP Numbers 1.2.0

Weakness icons

  • What an enemy is weak to now shows as a small row of icons under its health bar, instead of a second line of text. The bar itself keeps just the health number, so it stays clean.
  • Green plate: it takes extra damage from that. Red plate: it resists that. Dark plate: it is immune to that one type.
  • Fire, Air, Earth and Water use the game's own rune symbols. Slash, Stab and Crush use a scimitar, a dagger and a mace. Arrows and bolts use the game's aiming symbols.
  • Weaknesses come first, then immunities to a single type, then resistances. You pick how many icons a bar can show (0 to 8, default 3) and how big they are.

Immunity symbols

  • The game already has immunity symbols built into every enemy health bar, but never switches them on. When an enemy is immune to a whole kind of attack (all melee, all magic or all ranged), the mod now shows that symbol.
  • It only does that for a whole kind. Something immune to fire only will not claim to be immune to all magic.

Boss bars

  • The big boss health bar now gets the exact health number too, plus the weakness icons under it.

New settings (all live from Mod Menu, no restart)

  • Weakness display: icons (default), text (the old "weak: Crush" line), both, or off. The health number stays on the bar in every mode; the text line sits just under it.
  • Most icons per bar, Icon size, Immunity symbols, Boss bars.
  • Your old config.txt still works. If you had weaknesses switched off before, they stay off.

Fixes

  • The old page said WeaknessFormat could be set to off. It never could. Use Weakness display = off instead.

Everything the mod adds (numbers, icons, symbols) is removed again when the enemy dies, walks out of range, or you turn the feature off, so the bars go back to exactly how the game draws them.
