Adds 10 combat specialisations with progression tied to your attack, ranged, magic level, and random stat rolls to armour.
Choose a specialisation from the new Talent menu; you'll unlock power-ups as you level the respective skill.
Single-player only. Requires UE4SS. - It only loads in solo play.
(I experimented with the multiplayer version for a bit, but it was really unstable, so for now, I decided to keep it solo only - MP version is already in progress)
Specialisations
- Melee: Guardian, Vanguard, Dreadnought
- Ranged: Precision Hunter, Windrunner, Trickster, Shadow Stalker, Crystal Archer
- Magic: Arcanist, Spellweaver
Each specialisation has 10 talents, unlocked every 5 levels from 10 to 55 in Attack, Ranged or Magic.
Press N to open the Talent menu, choose your specialisation, and hit Apply build.
Only one specialization can be active at a time!
Armour Rolls
The mod also replaces vanilla armour-set perks with a new armour system.
Matching armour with a spec gives 100% of its defence, while armour from another combat style only gives 35%. This keeps melee, ranged, and magic armour relevant to their intended builds.
Rolls are tied to the individual item and persist through repairs, upgrades, and restarts. Masterwork armour generally rolls stronger values and can have different bonus pools.
Your rolled bonus only activates when the armour matches your current specialisation.

The HUD tracks your specialisation's important stacks, timers, and cooldowns. (below the special bar)
The special bar is now always (ish) visible.
You'll find three numbers next to the stam/hp/spec bar (to the left) - these are your def stats. I used this to check if the armour changes are working, and decided to keep it in.

You can also tweak the values for armour rolls and talents by using the built-in editor (F8) - you can also change the F8 key in the "editor-settings.txt" (\Mods\Class Specialisations & Armour Rolls - SOLO ONLY\Data). After editing a talent's value, you'll need to restart the game.
Some builds might feel/sound totally busted; I'll keep testing and balancing the default values, but feel free to play with the numbers! I'll also publish a mod that doubles regular enemy spawns (can include mini bosses too) - in case you want to do some mass murdering/aoe farming
Manual Installation
- Install UE4SS if you don't already have it. (Download and extract UE4SS_v3.0.1.zip in RSDragonwilds\RSDragonwilds\Binaries\Win64)
- Extract "Class Specialisations & Armour Rolls - SOLO ONLY" into:
RSDragonwilds\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods
Your final path should look like:
ue4ss\Mods\Class Specialisations & Armour Rolls - SOLO ONLY
Compatibility
Update 2 was tested with:
Dragonwilds 1.0.0.7
UE4SS v3.0.1
Mods that replace armour-set effects, modify the same combat stats, or change them may conflict.
Updating & Uninstalling
Back up the mod's Data folder before updating. It contains your saved builds, armour rolls, and custom settings.
To uninstall, remove Class Specialisations & Armour Rolls - SOLO ONLY from ue4ss\Mods and restart the game. Vanilla armour-set perks will return.
Deleting the mod's Data folder also deletes your saved armour rolls.
If you run into a problem, please include your class and weapon/armour when reporting it.
Update notes:
Update 2:
Fixed the issue where non-hostile enemies won't count towards various stacks (windrunner, vanguard etc)
Reworked some talents for: Dreadnought, Shadow Stalker, Crystal Archer
The editor menu (F8) now lets you rebind the talent menu and the editor keybind as well.
