Wayfarer gives a voice to the Russian version of World of Warcraft: Forever. When you accept or turn in a quest, the quest giver reads it aloud in a voice that fits their race, gender and character. When you enter a zone or subzone for the first time, a narrator tells you its story — and reads aloud the books, letters and plaques you open.

Requires the Russian game client (ruRU). All voice lines are in Russian.

Voice packs

Since version 0.6.0 the voices come in four packs. The CurseForge app installs them automatically together with Wayfarer.

A player needs the pack of their faction, Shared Quests and Narrator. If a pack is missing, Wayfarer tells you in the chat which one to install. Wayfarer Stories comes along automatically too.

What is voiced

• Alliance and Horde quests, levels 1–60, and neutral quests: quest accept and turn-in texts.
• Quest dialogues: conversations where you pick answers for a quest (Tirion, Thrall, Eitrigg, the Test of Lore and more).
• New WoW Forever quests: Zephras Isle, Camping Basics, class and starting quests — accept and turn-in texts.
• Narrator: the lore of 994 zones and subzones of the Alliance, the Horde and neutral lands, adapted to the WoW Forever storyline — now including Zephras Isle.
• Books, letters and plaques: 1,143 pages of 387 in-game books, letters, notes and plaques — the narrator reads the page you open, turn the page and the next one is read.
• Holidays and world events: the Lunar Festival, Love is in the Air, Children's Week, the Midsummer Fire Festival, Hallow's End, Winter Veil, the Ahn'Qiraj war effort, the Scourge invasion.
• Battlegrounds: Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin, Alterac Valley.

In total: 11,012 voice lines, 4,058 quests, 994 places, 1,143 book pages, 75 voices: humans, dwarves, gnomes, night elves, orcs, trolls, tauren, the Forsaken, goblins, skyborne and high elves, elementals, dragons, ogres, centaurs, furbolgs, ancients and more.

The Traveler's Journal

A book that collects everything you have discovered on the road and everything you can listen to again. Open it with a left click on the Wayfarer button on the edge of the minimap, /wf journal or a key binding.

• Azeroth — the atlas of places you have visited: every land with its map and its places, how many of them you have discovered, search and pinned lands. Click a place to hear its story again. Places you have not reached yet stay locked, so the narrator never gets ahead of you.
• Stories (with the Wayfarer Stories pack) — the library: every season and episode with its status, Listen / Continue, a recap of the previous episodes, any part as a tile and the full text.

Wayfarer Stories

A radio and an audiobook for the road, read by the chronicler: 359 episodes, almost 16 hours — the Chronicles of Azeroth, the Bestiary, Faces of Azeroth, Secrets of Places, Campfire Tales and "Did you know" facts. Seasons open by level, so no spoilers; quests and NPC dialogue always come first. Listen in the journal's Stories tab or turn on the radio from the minimap button.

Features

• "Talking Head" player window, like in retail WoW: a starry background in the colors of the speaker's race, the NPC's 3D portrait in a golden frame (close-up or half-body — your choice), the name and the full quest text that scrolls along with the voice, a progress bar and Pause / Skip / Report buttons. Drag the window anywhere (/wf move shows it when nothing is playing). Change its size with the slider in the settings or /wf size 80. Prefer something smaller? Four compact styles are in the settings: Parchment, Dark Marble, Classic and Clear.
• Minimap buttons: the Wayfarer microphone on the minimap ring (left click — the journal, right click — pause, next, stop, the story of this place, the radio, settings) and the narrator's ▶ next to the zone name (the story of the place where you stand).
• Replay any quest: press ▶ next to a quest in the objective tracker or in the quest log on the world map — no need to go back to the NPC.
• No overlapping voices: the voice starts when the NPC finishes its greeting («Greetings!»), and NPC greetings are muted while a voice line is playing (both can be turned off).
• Smart queue: quests, NPC lines and newly discovered places line up and play in order — quests first, the narrator last. Skip or Stop at any time.
• Report button: press "!" in the player window to flag a line with a wrong stress, voice or text. /wf reports gives you a ready-to-paste list.
• Settings: Esc → Options → AddOns → Wayfarer, or /wf options. Key bindings are under Key Bindings → Wayfarer.

Wayfarer — русская озвучка для WoW Forever

Путеводитель по Азероту: квестодатели читают свои задания вслух голосами, подобранными под расу, пол и характер NPC, а рассказчик рассказывает историю каждого места при первом визите и читает вслух книги, письма и таблички.

С версии 0.6.0 голоса — четыре пака: «Альянс», «Орда», «Общие квесты», «Рассказчик». Приложение CurseForge ставит их само вместе с аддоном; игроку нужны пак своей фракции, общие квесты и рассказчик. Если пака не хватает, аддон напишет в чат.

Озвучено:

• квесты Альянса и Орды 1–60 уровней и общие квесты (взятие и сдача);
• квестовые диалоги — разговоры, где по квесту выбираешь ответы (Тирион, Тралл, Эйтригг, «Испытание знаний» и другие);
• новые квесты WoW Forever — Остров Зефрис, «Основы походной жизни», классовые и стартовые (взятие и сдача);
• рассказчик: лор 994 зон и подзон, сверенный с сюжетом WoW Forever, — теперь и Острова Зефрис;
• книги, письма и таблички: 1 143 страницы 387 книг и надписей — рассказчик читает открытую страницу;
• праздники и события (Лунный фестиваль, Любовная лихорадка, Детская неделя, Огненный солнцеворот, Тыквовин, Зимний Покров, война Ан'Киража, нашествие Плети) и поля боя.

Дневник путника — книга обо всём, что вы открыли в пути: левый клик по кнопке Wayfarer на краю мини-карты, /wf journal или клавиша. Закладка «Азерот» — атлас: земли с картами и местами, сколько вы уже открыли, поиск, закреплённые земли; клик по месту — его история ещё раз. Где вы не были, там закрыто: рассказчик не забегает вперёд. Закладка «Истории» — библиотека пака «Путевые истории».

«Путевые истории»

«Путевые истории» — радио и аудиокнига для дороги голосом летописца: 359 выпусков, почти 16 часов. Пак ставится вместе с аддоном автоматически.

Что внутри:

• «Хроники Азерота» — история мира по сезонам: «Темный портал», «Вторая война», «Тралл», «Третья война», «Дом Ринн» и «Королевство Отрекшихся», а ещё шесть сезонов о народах: дворфы, тролли, ночные эльфы, таурены, гномы и гоблины;
• бестиарий — кобольды, мурлоки, гноллы, гарпии, наги и другие обитатели Азерота;
• «Лица Азерота» — герои и злодеи Альянса и Орды, поровну для обеих сторон;
• «Тайны мест» — загадки земель и подземелий, о которых молчит рассказчик зон;
• байки у костра и праздники — ярмарка Новолуния, Праздник луны, Зимний Покров, Тыквовин и другие;
• «Знаешь ли ты» — короткие факты о мире.

Без спойлеров: сезоны «Хроник» открываются по уровню (1, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50) или когда вы дослушали прошлый; выпуски о местах и событиях ждут, пока вы до них дорастёте. Тексты сверены с каноном Classic и WoW Forever.

Как слушать:

• Библиотека — закладка «Истории» в дневнике путника (левый клик по кнопке Wayfarer у мини-карты): рубрики, все выпуски со статусом «новое / остановились на части N / прослушано», кнопки «Слушать» и «Продолжить», пересказ прошлых серий, любая часть отдельно и полный текст выпуска.
• Эфир — включите радио (правый клик по кнопке у мини-карты → «Путевые истории»), и летописец будет рассказывать в дороге и в полёте. Квесты, разговоры с NPC и рассказ о новом месте всегда важнее: истории их не перебивают, а прерванная часть потом звучит заново.
• В том же меню: «Хроники» по порядку, следующая история, рассказ о вашей цели или об этих краях, «этот рассказ — чаще/реже», выбор рубрик и звучать ли эфиру в полёте. Запасной путь — команда /wfr.

Окно плеера — «говорящая голова», как в retail: звёздный фон в цветах расы говорящего, 3D-портрет NPC в золотой рамке (голова крупно или по пояс), имя и текст реплики, который прокручивается за голосом. Окно перетаскивается мышью (/wf move — показать его без озвучки); размер — ползунком в настройках или /wf size 80; компактные стили (пергамент, мрамор, классика, без фона) — там же.

Прослушать квест ещё раз — кнопка ▶ слева от квеста в списке заданий у края экрана или в журнале квестов на карте. Голоса не накладываются: озвучка начинается, когда NPC договорит приветствие, а пока она звучит, голоса NPC приглушаются.
