Wandering Trader May Leave adds a simple way to ask the wandering trader to exit the map without resorting to violence. It adds a small button in the top left of the trade screen. When clicked, the trader drinks an invisibility potion like it does at night, and disappears for good. You no longer have to kill it to get some peace and quiet.
The Trader Llamas disappear as well, but only if they are leashed to the trader. Their leads are dropped on the ground. This behaviour can be changed in the config.
Modded wandering traders get the button too, like the Wandering Winemaker from Let's Do Vinery and the Plague Doctor from Rats. Other modded merchants can be added in the config.
All available config options:
despawnTraderLlamasToo default true
If the trader llamas should be despawned alongside the wandering trader when pressing the button.
onlyDespawnLlamasWhenLeashed default true
Whether the trader llamas should only be despawned if they are leashed to the wandering trader.
dropLeashesWhenLlamasDespawn default true
If the leads of despawned trader llamas should drop on the ground as an item.
showDespawnParticles default true
If particles should be shown when despawning the wandering trader and/or trader llamas.
drinkInvisibilityPotionToLeave default true
If the wandering trader should drink an invisibility potion before leaving, like it does at night, instead of disappearing in a puff of particles.
extraEntityTypesThatMayLeave default "rats:plague_doctor"
A comma-separated list of entity ids of modded merchants that also get the leave button. Pressing it makes that merchant leave. Only works for merchants that use the vanilla trade screen. Use '<modid>:*' to include every entity of a mod.
/wandering-trader spawn - Accidentally made the wandering trader leave? Respawn it!
The command requires cheat access.
A little button is added:
With the config option 'drinkInvisibilityPotionToLeave' disabled, just click the button, and poof!
