Items

 

Target Dummy

  • Replaces Scarecrow
  • First use places it down
  • Second use swaps places with the target dummy
  • Target Dummy can be destroyed by knocking it into the void (Players will receive a chat notification upon destruction)
  • Can also be targeted by the Teleporter or Console instead of its owner
  • When swapping places while the dummy is falling down, the player gets launched upwards by the distance the dummy fell

Dispenser

  • Replaces Cactus
  • While equipped, sneaking charges the dispenser
  • Releasing sneak fires a barrage of arrows

Beetroot

  • Reintroduced again
  • Selects a random opponent and fills their hotbar with beetroots
  • Players affected by the beetroot get their items back by clearing their slots from the red pest

Spawn Egg

  • New: Pufferfish
    • Poisons anyone they come in contact with, including its owner (Please Mojang fix MC-256096)
  • New: Allay
    • Follows the owner around and provides one of the following positive status effects:
      • Speed
      • Jump boost
      • Slow falling
      • Luck (Chance to receive more items)
      • Flaming weapons (weapons inflict fire damage)
      • Shrinking (Halfs the player’s size)
  • Illusioner
    • Now only gives negative effects

Lightning Rod

  • No longer deals damage
  • Paralysis reduced from 3 to 1.5 seconds
  • Also removes the effect of the beetroot

Laser Eye

  • Features a new laser beam texture
  • Now ignites the target on hit
  • Increased probability of obtaining it when an opponent is hiding

Teleporter

  • Prefers teleporting to players inside the arena
  • Players no longer receive fall damage directly after use

Console

  • Added goats to the exploding mobs command

Turret

  • Now has its own kill message

Slime

  • Bounciness has been tweaked 

Bomb Arrows

  • Increased time from 20 to 25 seconds and decreased probability

Item Loot Table

  • Increased probability of rescue items when you don’t have any
  • Decreased probability of rescue items when you already have some
  • Decreased probability of head items when you already have some
  • Item selection balance has been improved for when some items are disabled

Default Mode

  • Game now spawns a few item boxes at the start

Damage Mode

  • Increased item amounts
  • Explosions now count as damage dealt

Item Overview

  • Improved item descriptions

 

Arena editor

  • It is now possible to modify or add completely new arenas
  • Access the editor by using the command /function editor:create_new_arena or /function editor:edit_arena (Requires operator permissions)

Arenas

  • Grass and foliage and skybox colors have been tweaked

Haunted House

  • Updated the layout to include more paths to access the top floors
  • Introduced new Soulevators which lifts the players upwards through the power of souls
  • Added night vision

Crystal Mayhem

  • Introduced crystal beams inside the cavern which launches the players upwards and switches positions every 45 seconds
  • Updated the layout to accommodate the crystal beams and make the caves more accessible

Drill Factory

  • Production was switched to drills
  • Caution: If they fall off the conveyor belt, they can destroy the arena
  • The layout has been revised accordingly for the new production, also including more routes to the roof

Volcano Flamore

  • Completely reworked the cube
  • The arena has been moved inside the volcano
  • Improved eruption

Asian Temple

  • Improved visual design using new blocks

Moon Base

  • Utilizes the new gravity attribute
  • Increased fall distance before a player takes fall damage to 9 blocks

Desert Bazaar

  • Now uses the new vanilla pots

Nether Fortress

  • Refurbished interior and exterior of the fortress

Caves and Cliffs

  • Added night vision

Mainstreet

  • Spawnpoint positions adjusted

 

Settings

  • Now located back in the lobby instead of the player's inventory
  • Improved icons
  • Introduced the new setting “Item Limit”:
    • Adjusts how many items players can hold simultaneously
    • Locked slots are grayed out in the hotbar
    • Default item limit increased from 3 to 5

 

Other New Features

  • Updated to Minecraft 1.20.5
  • Disabled interaction with blocks
    • Prevents for example picking up flowers from flower pots or accidentally opening interfaces like grindstones
  • Increased the distance players can fall into the void before getting eliminated
  • Increased fall distance before a player takes fall damage from 4 to 5 blocks
  • Players can now take damage by getting punched or shot into a wall
  • New ladder texture
  • Smoother arena loading animation
  • Added credits to the lobby
  • Updated tutorial tablet for clarity and relevance
  • Optimized a lot of code to enhance performance
  • Users now get warned when running the map on a modded server (Thanks Suso)

 

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved an issue where players sometimes experienced immediate fall damage upon spawning into the arena
  • Fixed a bug where entities weren't properly removed when a player leaves during a game
  • Corrected an issue where the death message would appear empty when the attacker left the game
  • Bossbars no longer flicker or switch positions when having a head item and a Cloud in a bottle equipped simultaneously
  • Fixed a bug that increased the levitation effect strength of the Cloud in a Bottle when used simultaneously with a Propeller Helmet or Firework Rocket
  • Console no longer places blocks where the disassembler already removed them
  • Teleporter now correctly spawns particle effects and plays sound at the destination
  • Ender Orb now ignores all transparent blocks when teleporting
  • Players can no longer teleport indefinitely with the Ender Orb when falling into the void
  • Fixed a bug where the turret’s head would detach from the body while it’s falling down
  • Propeller Helmet's gliding functionality now works as expected
  • Changed Lightning Rod to drop items at an appropriate distance from the target
  • Drill can no longer break the lobby
  • Players can no longer claim an opponent's kill by using a drill after being knocked outside the cube
  • Mobs now properly explode when directly hit by bomb arrows
  • Illusioner now properly applies “damaged weapons”-effect
  • Illusioner now consistently waves their arms when casting a spell
  • Squid now reliably hits players under roofs
  • Enderman no longer teleports players into the void
  • Fixed an issue where in Old Ruins a beam would constantly be visible when an item spawned inside the portal
  • Players no longer get stuck inside the lobby’s pipes
  • Fixed an issue where there was no sound when the player gets kicked out of a team
  • Corrected a typo in Crystal Mayhem
  • Arcadia Logo now displays correctly in the lobby
