Clean Glass & Tinted Glass does two things to glass.
First, it removes the harsh inner border streaks that vanilla draws inside
glass blocks and glass panes. The thin outer frame stays, so windows still read
as glass, but the centre of every pane is left completely clear for
uninterrupted views.
Second, it joins the frames of neighbouring glass blocks into a single shared
border. Place a wall of glass and only the outside of the wall gets an edge; the
seams between blocks disappear. This is done with standard OptiFine-style
connected textures (CTM), so it needs OptiFine or the Continuity mod.
The pack covers regular glass, tinted glass, all sixteen stained glass colours
and both pane types - 35 base textures plus 846 connected-texture tiles.

WHAT IS REMOVED
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Vanilla glass textures are not just a frame. Each one carries a few extra
highlight pixels inside the pane:
block/glass.png
A diagonal three-pixel glint in the top-left corner and a two-pixel glint
in the bottom-right corner, both fully opaque. Removed, so the interior is
fully transparent. The one-pixel outer frame and its corner shading are
untouched.
block/<colour>_stained_glass.png (16 colours)
A diagonal five-pixel streak (alpha 155 instead of the normal 102) in the
same two corners. The streak is flattened back to the normal interior
alpha, giving a smooth translucent pane. The slightly stronger border
(alpha 163) is kept as the subtle outer edge.
block/tinted_glass.png
A diagonal band of lighter highlight pixels (73,70,74) across the dark
interior. Those pixels are set to the flat base tint (39,37,40), so the
tinted pane is evenly dark with only its border shading. Tinted glass is
meant to be dark; this pack only removes the streaks, not the tint.
block/glass_pane_top.png
block/<colour>_stained_glass_pane_top.png (16 colours)
The two-pixel edge strip of a pane, which vanilla shades with several
alternating tones along its length. Flattened to a clean two-tone bevel
(main colour plus a 10% darker second column), so pane edges no longer
look striped.
The big faces of a glass pane use glass.png, and the thin top/side strips use
glass_pane_top.png, which is why both files are included.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WHAT IS KEPT
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- The outer one-pixel border of every block and pane, including vanilla's
light top/left edge and darker bottom/right shading. This is what keeps the
panes looking like Minecraft glass instead of empty holes.
- Every vanilla alpha value on the frame: 255 for glass, 200 for tinted glass,
163 for the stained-glass border, 255/230 for the pane edge strips.
- Every vanilla colour. Stained glass keeps its original flat dye colour and
is not re-tinted, so all sixteen colours match the unmodded game.
- Vanilla's block models, sounds and block properties. Nothing except textures
and the connected-texture definitions is replaced.
