Short Fire

A simple resource pack that shortens the vanilla fire texture, making flames look smaller and cleaner in-game while keeping the smooth, flickering animation.

• Fire height reduced by ~40% compared to vanilla
• Flames stay anchored to the ground, so they still look natural
• Smooth 32-frame flicker animation preserved
• Works on fire placed on blocks and mobs on fire

Compatibility

Works on Minecraft Java Edition 1.21 through 26.2 (and should keep working on future updates too).

Installation

1. Download the .zip file — do not extract it
2. Open your Minecraft resourcepacks folder (In-game: Options → Resource Packs → Open Pack Folder)
3. Place the zip inside
4. In Minecraft, go to Resource Packs and move it from Available to Selected
5. Click Done — no restart needed
