N's High Fantasy - LOTC Add-On

This resource pack is an add-on to N's High Fantasy Textures that brings support for the Lord of the Craft roleplay server. This resource pack only modifies items with specific components found on LOTC and changes will not be evident when played outside of that environment.

Features

This add-on is separated into multiple resource overlays which may be disabled at user discretion. This can be done by modifying the pack.mcmeta file.

Resource Overlays

Signed-Item/Plugin Additions

Textures have been provided for many of the plugin-generated items such as Alchemist Shears, fishing equipment, and Surge weaponry. These additions are intended to better represent unique server items while leaving vanilla textures intact.

This overlay also targets the countless player-signed items in circulation on LOTC. Often it can be hard to tell signed-items apart because they use the same base items. These changes seek to fix that problem by granting unique textures to a handful of them. As time goes on, more will be added to enhance the experience on LOTC.

Herb Textures

Noded herbs have custom replacement textures to accurately represent them in-game.

Missing Translations

The LOTC server features over 100 custom biomes to make their immersive fantasy map the best it can be. Unfortunately, alongside these biomes there is no provided server resource pack, leading to many missing translations when viewed with auxiliary mods such as mapping tools.

This addon provides translations for the vast majority of biomes used on the server. There are likely smaller, discrete biomes that may have been overlooked. If you encounter a case such as this, please report it on the issue tracker.

Vanilla Tweaks

Certain blocks and items have been updated to mesh better with the LOTC server. These tweaks are traditional texture overrides and as such can be quite distracting when viewed outside of LOTC.

Changes

• Iron Door - modified to look like a spruce door with a large lock
• Rabbit's Foot - modified to look like a horse whistle

Caveats / Shortcomings / Bugs

Disclaimer for 1.21.5 users

These resources are partially compatible with 1.21.5 though they are designed to work with 1.21.11 and later. Using this resource pack with game versions prior to 1.21.11 will result in issues, and those known will be listed below. It is recommended you update to the latest supported version for the best experience.

Known Issues

• Due to some player-signed items using the same base item as herbs in the plugin, the textures cannot be disabled as it causes conflict with item model definitions.
• Item model definitions that target custom_data components such as those used in all herb tweaks appear to be bugged in versions prior to 1.21.11 and will fail to update the item models in GUI. Items in-world such as those on market stalls or dropped on the ground will display correctly. LOTC is s**** on 1.21.5 anyways, just update you hold-out.
• Placeholder models that reference items not present on the installed game version will appear as missing textures. If you encounter this issue, install a later version of Minecraft.
• Tweaks are intrusive and override vanilla game textures. They may impact the experience when used outside of the LOTC server. Often these compromises are used when objects are omnipresent in LOTC and should be changed, but cannot be targeted with item model definitions.
