Description

To gain experience working with .json files and the modeling software (MrCrayfish's), I have decided to remodel the Terra Blade from the mod Botania. I'd have the resource pack apply to Botania itself but, seeing as 1.8 is when custom models (and the .json system in general) came to Minecraft unfortunately it's not a very simple task; certainly not accomplishable with a mere resource pack for versions 1.7.10 and earlier.

 

I may attempt to model other items from Botania, but for now this is all I have done. Given my somewhat minimal understanding of .json files, The item rendering in-game may be a bit anomalous, compared to other regular items, or even items from other resource packs made by people who know more about what they're doing. This is because I shamelessly took rendering code from a resource pack that looks good and tweaked it for this pack. The most notable example of wonky rendering, at the moment, is how the item renders in the GUI.
