Null, a shadow-clad master of the void, realized that the golden totems could not be destroyed by normal means—they had to be corrupted. He traveled to the deepest, most desolate reaches of the Nether, where a catastrophic battle between a Wither and a legion of Evokers had left the ground scorched with soul sand.

**The Ritual of Corruption:**
1. **The Tether:** Null used his void influence to bind a dormant Wither to the physical plane, forcing it into a state of perpetual, agonizing hunger.
2. **The Sacrifice:** Instead of feeding the Wither souls, Null cast a pile of shimmering golden Totems into the creature's ribcage.
