BONUS info: For MOST resource packs, if you want to get rid of the unsightly red "INCOMPATIBLE" on the Resource Packs page, open the resource pack folder (there is a button right there), find the "incompatible" .zip file and open it with any archiver program. Once inside it, open the "pack.mcmeta" file (most have one) with any text editor, then change the "pack_format": number there to whatever is in a RP that ISN'T red and IS compatible. EX: If a compatible RP has ' "pack_format":15, ' in the pack.mcmeta file inside it, then enter 15 into the "pack.mcmeta" file in the RP zip file that you want to make compatible, and the red goes away !

(This of course doesn't magically MAKE it compatible... you'll still have to test it to make sure.)
