Seamless Glowing Ores

Every ore glows in the dark, with an optional connected outline that merges touching blocks. Ore of the same type joins up even across different stones. Needs only Fusion: one mod for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt.

What's new

Seamless Glowing Ores (Glow + Border) 2.0.0

Fixed: Ancient debris was not glowing

It was covered in an older release and got lost when the pack was rebuilt on Fusion. Ancient debris now lights up as a whole block again, rather than having a glowing ore layer, because its texture is its own artwork instead of stone with ore blobs painted on it.

It has no outline, on purpose, for the same reason.

Added: Mythic Metals

All 21 of its ores are now covered, including the host matched variants that mod ships itself, so tuff orichalcum and calcite kyber join their own ore type and share an outline with it.

Mythic Metals is Fabric only and stops at Minecraft 1.21.4. Above that its blocks simply do not exist, and the pack skips them.

Added: Seamless Ores 2.0.0 coverage

The mod grew from 40 blocks to 64 in its own 2.0.0 release, adding Mythic Upgrades support. All 24 new blocks are covered here.

Total coverage is now 135 blocks across 42 ore types: vanilla, Seamless Ores, Create's zinc, Mythic Upgrades and Mythic Metals.

Now published for 1.21 and up

1.21.x, 26.1.x and 26.2, from the same single file per style.

1.20.x is not tagged, but the file still works there, and it no longer gets marked as incompatible in the resource pack list. Two things to know if you use it on that version:

  • On Fabric you need Indium, or nothing glows at all. Sodium does not provide the rendering API Fusion draws through until 1.21, and Indium is the add on that supplies it. Create is usually the mod that prompts you to install Indium, which makes this look like a Create problem. It is not.
  • Thin dark lines can flicker on ore faces. That is the Indium render path, not the pack. It happens with any Fusion pack, including the Fusion author's own, and equally in both of our files.

Neither affects 1.21 or anything newer.

Still one file

Nothing to install differently. Because missing blocks are now skipped instead of taking their ore type down with them, one file covers every supported version, every loader, and every combination of the mods it supports. Blocks that do not exist on your version are skipped exactly like mods you do not have.

Tested on 26.1.2, 1.21.11, 1.21.1 and 1.20.1.
