I created a model similar to those used by Motschen in his Round Trees mod, but for Cacti.
Consider this sort of an add-on to Motchen's work. If you get this you probably want that too, though this will work on its own.

I also have models for Pumpkins and Melons, but... well, those blocks are hard-coded to cull the faces of the blocks around them, and I'm not really seeing any solution to the issue. So, that project is on hold for now.
