What's new

The Worldwide Villagers update!

  • Added new skin colors to all species!
  • Added alternative trigger words to get specific skin colors. Cold, temperate, and warm; which is in line with how vanilla Minecraft differentiates between the biome specific textures for certain mobs. Check the “How To Use” section of the main page or the readme.txt in the downloaded files for more details.
  • Made pale dwarves, gnomes, and elves slightly paler
  • Remade all previous skin colors of orcs and goblins
  • Made mohawks 3D! Now related dwarf textures won’t look completely bald when viewed from lower angles and related orc mohawks won’t look like comb-overs.
  • Rewrote the ‘weights’ for Wandering Traders so that every texture has a (near) equal chance of appearing, vanilla texture included
  • Updated dwarven desert biome texture to have a more dwarf-looking hat, as well as adjusting the lighter blue to be a less jarring contrast to the darker blue
  • Adjusted the hats of dwarven fishermen and fletchers to not clip with the new mohawks
  • Adjusted the gnome cartographers ear to have a copper cover instead of a skin colored flap, which wasn’t compatible with the multiple skin colors. Also lowered the saturation of the pencil to make it feel more medieval
  • Adjusted the hats of orc fishermen, fletchers, shepherds, and base desert variants (Even though these are all temporary textures (which is why the change is so low effort))
  • Fixed Z-fighting between long hair and hats by adding a new hair layer
  • Previous fix also simultaneously fixed an error I didn’t know about where the bottom of elven and orc taiga hoods were placed around their midriff
  • Removed the bare arm section of dwarven armorers and weaponsmiths as it wasn’t compatible with the multiple skin colors (A sad loss for artistic expression)
