Simplified Chinese Localization Pack — Minecraft 26.2 (Fabric)
41 mods. 6,700+ strings. 100% key coverage. A complete zh_cn resource pack built for the 26.2 Fabric era, where most community Chinese localization projects haven't arrived yet.
Why this pack exists
Minecraft 26.2 changed a lot under the hood, and Chinese localization projects have been slow to follow — CFPA, the largest community effort of its kind, currently stops at 26.1. On top of that, several popular mods either ship no Chinese at all or ship a "Chinese" file that is really just the English text copy-pasted over. The result: English labels scattered across config screens, options menus and keybind lists.
This pack closes every one of those gaps, verified key-by-key by script.
What's inside
- 6,700+ strings across 36 mod namespaces — every English key in the mod list has a Simplified Chinese counterpart. 100% coverage, no raw key names left on screen. (The remaining ~2.5% are intentional: brand names like Forge, Minecraft, OptiFine and Iris, plus
%sformat placeholders.) - Three translation sources merged: strings bundled with the mods themselves, the CFPA community project (reused wherever their translations already exist), and nearly 900 hand-written entries for everything else.
- Xaero's World Map — fully translated, 323 strings. The mod has never shipped a Chinese language file in any version; it only provides English and German. This pack delivers the complete translation.
- Xaero's Minimap — 129 missing strings added, following the mod's existing terminology so the whole UI reads consistently.
- JEI — 315 configuration-screen strings. The JEI options GUI was previously untranslated.
- Sodium & Sodium Extra — complete, including 8 particles introduced in 26.2 that the mod's own language file doesn't even know about.
- Zoomify — repaired. Its bundled "Chinese" file is ~95% pure English (6 of 122 strings); fully re-translated here. ClientSort — 39 missing strings added.
- Vanilla gap fixes — key names for mouse buttons 3–12. Minecraft itself only names the first three mouse buttons, so anything bound to a side button used to display a raw key name.
What this pack does NOT cover
- Iris / shader pack settings. Those strings live inside the shader pack itself (
shaders/lang/*.lang), not in Iris, so no resource pack can translate them. Install azh_CN.langfor your shader pack separately (Complementary, for example, has a community translation). - Traditional Chinese (zh_tw / zh_hk). Simplified Chinese (zh_cn) only.
Installation
- Drop the
.zipinto yourresourcepacksfolder. - Options → Resource Packs → move the pack into the active column.
- Drag it to the very top of the active list — anything below it can override its translations.
- Press F3 + T (or re-enter the world) to reload.
Built and tested on Minecraft 26.2 / Fabric (pack_format 88). It also works with any other 26.2 Fabric instance that uses the same mods.
