Version 2: Added battle gauntlets!
You can now rename any sword to something including the word 'Glove' or 'Gauntlet' in the name (case-insensitive) to turn its model into a glove.
As always, fully compatible with resource packs. The base texture of the weapons is taken from the respective material blocks (e.g. the diamond waraxe texture is taken from the diamond block).
Should be compatible with any recent version of Minecraft, but I made this for version 1.19.2.
