My GRIMDARK SKY PACK includes a completely custom starfield, pair of exo-planets, sun, chaos moon, shooting stars, and multiple cloud layers to enhance the look of your Java Minecraft experience. This sky pack was created drawing inspiration from some of my favorite dark fantasy worlds and is also available as part of my Expanded Armory resource pack. Optifine is required to render the custom skybox.
Please feel free to pair this with a pack of your choosing, but I designed it to complement my other resource packs, which you can find linked below.

Hey, me and my team have been making a modded gamemode for the last year and a half and have been using this skybox. We modified it slightly to reduce the clouds and brightness levels, would we be allowed to distribute the modapck on curseforge with credit to you with these slightly edited files? Thank you for making this skybox, it's beautiful.
hey! so.. how can i customize the moon, sun etc? i really like this resource pack, but i also cant find those shooting stars or the chaos moon thing. all i´m seeing are the planets (those 2 that are on the side) and the animated cloud layers.
thank you for reading and i hope you have a nice day!

If you are using a Shader pack, that can override my textures. The shooting stars are a little rare / difficult to catch as they happen after midnight for only a second or two. Something I'd like to change in the future.
The planets don't show up, just the sun and moon textures. Using 1.18.2, tested on vanilla and modded forge versions through the curseforge app and vanilla launcher. Any advice?

Custom skies require Optifine as far as I know. When using Optifine there is a setting to enable a custom sky (Options>Video Settings> Quality>Custom Sky=ON). Also please note that many shader packs will override skies provided by the resource pack - in that case you will need to find the shader setting to disable the shader's custom sky (this setting is labeled differently and in different places for all shaderpacks as it is up to the shaderpack creator to include it).
Please add some rain and Thunder sky Effects. It will Look very nice. A blank sky looks weird, Also its a great pack keep up the good work.

Thank you for the suggestion! I do intend to do some more work on this pack and add some more features. Sky boxes are difficult!
